Prague City Landmark Pack - v0.5
Welcome to Prague! Vítejte v Praze!
This is my first rendition of the Czech Republic's capital. As bing map data is not sufficient enough across the Czech Republic, the ingame version of Prague does not give a good representation of this wonderful European city.
Hopefully my scenery pack provides for a better experience landing and taking of at LKPR (Václav Havel International Airport).
Features
This scenery pack contains many landmarks and well known buildings from Prague, Czech Republic.
Currently there are 25 landmarks in the pack, featuring:
* St. Vitus Cathedral
* Prague Castle
* The old Town Hall
* Zofin Palace
* Rudolfinum
* National Monument
* Zizkov TV Tower
* Strahov Stadium
and many more...
Issues
As I am a beginner at working with both, Blender and Microsoft's SDK, there are some problems regarding this pack. Please don't be harsh as I will try fixing it, however, feel free to comment on any issues or glitches you might find down in the comments!
Ongoing issues:
* 3D models optimized in last update, but still room for improvement (app. 5 fps decrease!)
* night lighting only partially done.

How to install?
As per usual just unzip the download with WinRAR or a similar software and copy it into your Community-folder. If you struggle with this, please refer to one of the many great tutorials out there.
Version 0.4 changes:
* Added Michle Heating Power Plant
* Added Holešovice Heating Power Plant
* Added St. Nicolas Church
* Added Vysehrad Hill
* Added Strahov Monastery
* Added Vystaviste Hall
Known Issues: Somehow there is a single texture missing which results in a half white building on Vysehrad. Did not find the reason for this yet, but gonna fix it!

Very sorry for your experience. As I have described in the info section: there is simply no way to make google earth data fully compatible for sim usage. The geometry and topology is not good - I have spend numerous hours trying to improve it, but there is little to optimize.. unfortunately...

Hi there, I unzipped the file and moved the "Prague" folder to the Cummunity folder. I've tried several times, but the buildings and bridges don't appear. All other scenes that I have installed work fine. I have the premium MSFS version Update 6.

Thank you for your comment. That is strange! Could you try and rename the prague mod folder to something like "aaa-troglodytus-...". Please report back if that solved your issue!

Sorry, had to wait for the new update to finish. I have now renamed the "prague" folder to "prague-troglodytus-v0.5_N_cU2". Now it's working. Great, the bridge and the buildings look great.
You are immediately reminded of your own visit to Prague 😃.
But it pulls the frame rate down quite a bit.

Looks great and Prague really needs an update. I really want the Jewish quarter myself but no idea how to make. Though I may wait until an update to download given bus other mention and FPS but just wanted to say that it looks great and keep up the great work!

Sorry, but the FPS drop when looking at the Prague castle is just unbearable. This package needs some optimization. It changes my FPS from 40 - 60 to 20. That is just unacceptable.

Thank you for your comment. Yes, it needs optimization. Unfortunately it is hard to optimize googles photogrammetry. The models included in this pack already come with LODs, however, once you are near the castle, the full detailed model is shown at it has many vertices... Some decimation of these has been done, but it is hard to go much further without destroying the look of the models.
You can try and use the local cache / a bigger local cache. Once data is loaded into that cache, the fps should be a little bit more stable.

Lights on the plane should not be dependent on a scenery mod. So I don't think the plane is broken, not Prague. Which plane did this happen in? Does it still happen if you rename the Prague package folder to: "zzz_troglodytus-prague" ?

If it is added to MSFS, the display of lights on the plane does not work properly, after removal from MSFS everything is normal again, so definitely a bug! Otherwise a great thing, I'm sorry ..

Unfortunately, extreme FPS drops on my high-end system even when viewed from the far distance of the Intl. airport. Far worse than the 5 FPS in the description. For just a few buildings, this is unacceptable. Had to uninstall it.
