    Description

    This is a repair of an in sim airport. As you can see it had some rather special issues along with being utterly hopeless overall.

    Interestingly it looks like this airport has been updated by Asobo themselves between my versions of it as there was a lawn and river on the runway I got rid of that appears to be gone now.  Or maybe my computer is playing tricks on me. 

    Even so the cosmetics remain hideous so ground markings have been added and better ground textures along with extra detail such as fencing, car park and buildings. 

    I wouldn't call this a classic but all of the airports in this area seem pretty samey and blank so here's one to up the neighbourhood a little.

    V 1.1 includes correcting a few sloppy mistakes and filling out details that weren't all that convincing before.

    V 1.2 reverts to the in sim runway as they repaired it. Cleans up a few bits and bobs, removes some items cruelly taken by Asobo like fuel and stair trucks and recompiles the file as it's getting on a bit.

    this is still a stock product and while i appreciate the effort all i am saying is that at least you do a proper research get pictures to give you a better idea because i am sure it can't be easy doing these scenery so do it good and done please and thank you even for some o the grenadines isles it is not rendered remotely close to the real thing now i got some pictures or tvsb scenery and i you look on the internet you can find pics and i also want to point out even for freeware planes and a.i ship a.i planes them man stepping up them game so again please do your fans them a solid thank you.

    My list seems to grow as I get slower at churning things out, but if somewhere tickles me I'll definitely tuck it away for later.


    It's not an area I've explored a great deal in the sim so far. Someone asked for this to be done as it was outrageously broken when the sim launched.

    This one isn't a particular priority for me at the moment so if I were you I'd go with the other. That's the creator's area of specialisation so I expect it'll improve more rapidly.

    Yes, that's a big oversight that needs changing. I didn't even notice that on the satellite photo. I'll do that in the next day or two. Thanks for the notification.

    also the airport elevation is 41 m (136 ft) above sea level
    the default one seems to be below that altitude
    I was about to make it, but I think you are almost done with it...

    Myself and terraforming aren't getting on at the moment. I might investigate and see if it works OK. A lot of the time it doesn't. Changing it might screw the nav stuff, none of which I've touched. Not sure.

    Very handy. Thank you. This is the type of place that really needs some custom buildings. It ain't gonna be me though. That vid also goes to show how hopeless the sim's terrain is here. There isn't even a hill where the tower is. Guess that means I need to... terraform? Ugh.

    Hmm. I must've added them myself. They do that unless you adjust them manually. Thanks for the heads up. I'll try to change it shortly. Edit - done so replace the other download.

    What a huge improvement on a well known & popular place to fly. This sim never ceases to amaze me,(not a compliment) but people with skills are thankfully bailing them out. Good job & thanks !

    Well, I can imagine the collective gulp from the team when they were told what was expected of them so I can sympathise if things aren't A1. I'd love to know how much time they allocated to each airport. 10-20 minutes maybe?

    Love it. Note that the runway is still off it appears. Planes don't line up on runway and some grass patches in the middle of runway when landing

    The taxi points and navigation stuff are unchanged from the original airport. I might try to change it but I'm reluctant to wreck what functionality they gave it. I will return to this and test it.

    The grass cannot be cured so far unfortunately. The in sim version has a river crossing the runway which I did cover up. The grass refused to leave.
