Description
Quick description:
This megapack includes 25 airports/airfields around central Arizona that each have been handcrafted with extra 3D assets and fixes.
What does this mod do?
This something a little different but I wanted to designed an addon for users who fly on FSEconomy or Onair around the Phoenix area of Arizona. Not everyone will visit these small airfields but these destinations should feel like they are actively used by their respected community. It's not just extra buildings but other tiny enhancements like making dirt runways stand out against the desert floor will benefit pilots looking for the airfield. Originally, most of these airfields didn't have a place to start Cold'N'Dark, so I added a parking spot to each airport. Not every airport in this pack is perfect but the adjustments I made should help make the world feel more alive.
More information:
*I have added taxi ribbons to every airport in this pack, but some have issues with this system. I tried to fix these issues, but every workaround failed; this might be an SDK issue. Even though some airports have taxi ribbon issues, hopefully these markers still help guide people using this assistance system. *
If you discover any issues, please make a note in the bug discussion form; thank you.
The ZIP file includes three different addons; each addon contains the listed below airports.
Airport List 1 Airport List 2 Airport List 3
- AZ32 - 34AZ - AZ61
- AZ28 - 5AZ3 - AZ05
- P48 - 3AZ2 - 30AZ
- AZ34 - 36AZ - 40AZ
- 2AZ7 - 20AZ - 5AZ7
- AZ60 - 41AZ
- 1AZ2 - 55AZ
- AZ90 - 1AZ0
- 10AZ - 2AZ4
- AZ25 - AZ49
Known Issues:
- Some airports/airfields taxi ribbons (if enabled) will always lead the player to only one runway; even though the ATC (in-game) asks for a different runway.
- The taxi ribbon takes ~30 secs to load when you announce taxi.
- Cars are still driving on newly placed taxiways (still looking for a fix to remove them)
Installation:
Download the zip file and extract it to the community folder.
The community folder should be located inside your Microsoft Flight Simulator Folder which resides in the AppData.
Windows Store:

Great Stuff!
Do you mind adding a world map star to your airports? So we can find them easier!
Thank you

Thanks so much! Will you be doing more? 14AZ or E78 look so bare now that I've flown into airfields with your pack here. :D

One comment or question: I just landed at AZ25 (Goldfield Ranch) and the runway is nearly overrun by what I thought were trees, but maybe they're just bushes. My plane ran right through them without detecting a collision. Is that an error?

Btw I love AZ28 Thunder Ridge Airpark, Morristown as it is a very nice community, hope you can add a starting location at each house.
And at Pleasant Valley is the long one also suppose to be a runway ?? IF so it isnt marked as being a runway so just wondering it that is correct.
At 34AZ - Memorial Airfield, Chandler there is a big airliner spawning there no idea if that is correct ?? Also no runway nr or markings maybe you can add those or enable the taxi ribbon ?
At 30AZ - Gila Compressor Station, Arlington i noticed where you start with your aircraft parked the one building with the stairs is floating, maybe you can fix that ? just need to be lowered a tiny bit.
