    Description

    For New A380X Dev FS2024

    • Drag and Drop BOTH unzipped folders into community folder and overwrite as needed.
    • You will be overwriting two Cabin Lighting fx files in the main A380x folder. The folder I provided already contains the structure needed. Just drag and drop both unzipped folders into your community folder and overwrite as required. This is experimental to a large extent with the new beautiful lighting for the cabin.
    • Created by me Mike/MRR- lead texture artist, Repsol- lead modeler, & Heclak- lead 2024 sdk expert and modeler at FBW! The exterior features 8k KTX2 textures, the interior keeps the same mix of 4K and 2-3 8K textures. No discernable difference in fps for me.

    Update 7/15/26:

    • RR logos and red stripe added to engines
    • new Engine roughness comp texture added for blue engine paint
    • new engine nacelle roughness map for metal surrounding each engine; experimental effect.
    • Removed certain side logos per community feedback
    • Added LEA to front cockpit and corrected tail Registration
    • Added Registration to cockpit
    • New Cockpit textures for the British Airways style cockpit floor padding and realistic BA inop sticker adjacent to Standby ISIS unit
    • Entirely new cabin textures...lots of work there. USE THE IPAD settings to control cabin brightness. The auto mode is default and looks fine.
    • Cabin uses a new technique I learned using baked lighting in the cycles engine using real IES style lighting configurations. Let me know what you think ;)

    WIP:

    • The engine safety warning labels I may add to the actual aircraft not livery based.
    • Cabin overhead lighting for Business, Premium Economy, & Economy seat areas.
    • Entire cabin floor being reworked to fix the albedo brightness error found in our model. Intention is to use cycles lighting effects on the floor.

    Info:

    • Dirt color varied, removed large moisture dirt on fuselage top, added ceramic stripe to engine inlet blade shield area.
    • Registration G-XLEA. Airbus A380-841. c/n 095. First Airbus A380 delivered to British Airways on July 3rd, 2013.
    • BA config 38A. Seats 469.

    chuckmo, thanks for your input. Your photos helped me to correct the livery. The safety placards we can add to the base plane at a later time. When I have time I will continue working on the lighting. It takes a large amount of coordination to get things like this done. Cheers!

    Why do painter devs insist on always only offering the 8K frame hogging textures of this AC? 4k still looks amazing and allows us to fly this thing into the biggest payware airports available without the FPS drama.

    OH, I see you will offer a 4K version. Man we are waiting for that. Great. Thanks.

    I am not going to repeat some of the comments. Here is my recommendation: Red circles are logos to be removed. Green rectangles are rolls royce logos to be added. Orange rectangle should show "LEA". There should also be a registration identification under the left wing.

    Thanks to your feedback I am making this the most detailed livery I have done. The cabin is also almost complete as well! Cockpit will also feature inop stickers from BA and different carpet texture. This will become very complete in the next few days cheers! :)

    Great livery but I note the livery.cfg file mislabels the aircraft as an Emirates frame. This causes pirep rejection with some VA's for flying the incorrect livery.

    Good livery, but missing some major attention to detail. Firstly, the fin number is incorrect, being that of G-XLEF, secondly, the registration placard in the cockpit is not reflective of the aircraft, and finally, the default cabin leaves much to be desired. Would easily be a 5 star livery if it wasn't for these oversights.
