    Description

    Succeeding the MD-11 sound enhancement I present the A330 sound enhancement.

    As with MD11 soundpack, this mod enhances the interior soundscape of the default a333 and 332.

    • GE and RR interior engine soundset.
    • Custom interior airframe wind
    • Custom ground roll sounds
    • Custom interior ac packs sounds.
    • Custom avionics sounds

    Installation: drag and drop into community folder

    Any unauthorized reverse-engineering, re-distribution or modification of pc.pck files and its contents is not allowed

    The sounds used to be realistic with the exception of the high RPM sound, which was a too deep, now its the opposite, the high RPM sound is the only thing thats realistic. IMO the spool up howl used to be better.

    Hi your sounds are great i appreciate your hardwork and dedication, i have a request that could you please add this sound when the plane is on apu state like in this video before flaps retraction https://youtube.com/shorts/_Y2RTVZozF8?si=10HFpJz9PDwC7RWE similar to aerosoft a340-600 when in apu state.     Nice find! Especially on your second link, you can hear the gear as it moves into position and then the loud clunk sound (not too dis-similar from what INI builds did with the A350 gear sound). It is definitely pretty noisy. You can also clearly hear the howling in the cockpit as a couple of us have pointed out.

    The current Build is very good and i can finally fly the A330 without reducing the Sim Volume. I think you should keep the Volume at the current Level and only add some Details on future Builds

    Ok, I've had a chance to test your latest release. Obviously you can take what I say with grain of salt but I would offer a couple of suggestions. First, I would say you should add the howl back in to the flightdeck audio as one of your commenters below posted several videos illustrating that the howl is clearly audible in the cockpit on the -300RR. It certainly is on the -200RR.

    Second, the howl (even when positioned near the window) in your latest update is not very clear/prominent. It seems less so than the last build you did. Maybe some tweaks to get it louder/more clear there? Here are a few clips of Hawaiian Airlines -200RRs. Videos are near the window and you can hear how loud the howl is on spool up. There are many more but these are just a couple examples.

    The new reverse sounds are much better! I'd say maybe bump the wind noise volume a bit more and they would be perfect!

    Lastly, the gear retraction/extension could also be louder but I'm not sure how easy or difficult that is to do. But if it's not a crazy amount of work, I would say bump it up as well. The nose gear makes a pretty loud "clunk" on the -200 at least.

    Overall, I'm loving your work so far and you have already improved the enjoyment of this aircraft immensely! Looking forward to what is to come! Also looking forward to the discord page.

    The howl is already fixed on a dev build, theres also new ground roll sounds. However the gear sounds are still default since finding source material to sample is difficult

    Glad to hear that. I also found another video showing how loud the reversers are in the flight deck. They are obviously even louder when seated next to the window near and/or in front of the engines. Skip to about 9min9seconds into this video

    I haven't downloaded the latest version yet (hoping to later today), but if you did indeed remove the classic Trent howl from the flightdeck sounds, would be possible to offer two different versions of your soundpack? One with the howl sounds audible in the flightdeck and one without? That way people can at least choose which they prefer?

    A330 Sound Enhancement

    This add-on enhances the interior sound environment for the default Airbus A330-300 and A330-200 in Microsoft Flight Simulator. It includes distinct GE and Rolls-Royce engine soundsets, along with custom interior airframe wind audio. The mod is designed for easy installation by dragging and dropping into the community folder. Future updates are planned for avionics, packs sounds, and possible external sound enhancements.

    Version History

    - RR and GE have been overhauled to be balanced when switching engines (meaning volumes etc are now roughly the same) - RR & GE: overhauled spool, whine, buzzaw sounds. Altitude & speed influence on sounds have been revised, audio positioning and filtering is improved (cockpit vs. next to engine and back of the wing perspectives) New reverser sounds on both engine types ( might have some issues if throttling up fast after reversing, so still a bit WIP ) - Initial sounds for ground roll (WIP), most of the default ground roll sounds have been disabled though a touchdown etc. sound is still playing on takeoff. As a final note, I am opening an discord server for the current soundmods and future ones to better serve feedback and wishlisting since a lot of you have been asking "can you implement X or Y" so be on the lookout on the addon page! As always, happy flying and enjoy the sounds.
