The AS365 Dauphin is an upcoming helicopter from Taog's Hangar for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Developed as the studio's most ambitious rotorcraft to date, the project recreates the versatile twin-engine helicopter used worldwide for offshore transport, search and rescue, law enforcement, and military operations.
The package will include multiple variants, including the civilian AS365 and the U.S. Coast Guard HH-65 Dolphin. Preview material has showcased detailed cockpit modeling, custom avionics, functional rescue equipment, and mission-oriented features designed to take advantage of MSFS 2024's helicopter capabilities. A fully functional rescue hoist, night vision goggles (NVGs), and Career Mode integration have all been confirmed by the developer.
Taog's Hangar has also focused on realism through custom flight dynamics, authentic sounds, and highly detailed animations. The helicopter is intended to support a wide variety of mission profiles, ranging from offshore transport to search-and-rescue operations, with systems and equipment tailored to each variant.
Development has been ongoing since late 2024. According to the latest updates, the aircraft model, sounds, and animations are complete, while final systems work, testing, documentation, and completion of the HH-65 variant remain in progress before release.
