I am incredibly excited to share some great news with all of you today. After spending a lot of time developing, testing, and refining it, the MSFS 2024 Livery Converter is now officially available.
First and foremost, I want to take this opportunity to express my deepest, most heartfelt gratitude to every single pilot and community member who has supported, downloaded, and enjoyed my MSFS 2020 liveries over the past few years. Your amazing feedback and passion are the exact reasons why I wanted to find a way to bridge the gap between MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024. This tool was made out of a direct need to get our favorite fleets back into the skies without unnecessary technical friction.
What is this tool and who is it for?
This converter is a lightweight, strictly focused desktop application designed to make the transition of existing FlyByWire A32NX liveries from MSFS 2020 to MSFS 2024 as simple as possible.
- The Primary Focus: It is explicitly tailored and optimized for FlyByWire A32NX liveries. By focusing purely on this aircraft, the utility can remain straightforward and reliable without becoming unnecessarily complicated.
- Standalone: No additional third-party software or separate frameworks need to be installed. The converter is provided as a self-contained Windows application.
- Streamlined Workflow: It automatically handles the required structural changes for MSFS 2024, including the necessary adjustments to
aircraft.cfg,manifest.json, andlayout.json.
Built with Credibility (and a little bit of charm)
I wanted this utility to be serious, highly efficient, and trustworthy. It is built to do exactly what it says on the tin.
However, as a small easter egg for the insiders among you, I couldn't resist giving it a tiny bit of character — so don't be surprised if the console drops a classic Inspector Columbo quote once your files are successfully converted. 😄
A note about texture files
The converter does not rewrite or modify the DDS texture files.
This is intentional. The conversion focuses on the file structure and configuration required for MSFS 2024. The existing DDS textures can remain unchanged, and MSFS 2024 recognizes the converted liveries correctly as 2024 liveries.
This also means that the original texture quality is preserved without unnecessary reprocessing.

It was created primarily for the FlyByWire A32NX community and especially for those who have enjoyed and used my MSFS 2020 liveries over the years.
I hope this little tool helps make the transition to MSFS 2024 easier and allows many familiar liveries to return to the skies.
