Description
Pilots on VATSIM can be super quiet or blaringly loud in vPilot/xPilot. This app sits between those clients and your ears, normalising their audio in real time so every transmission lands at the level you choose - no more chasing volumes with every transmission!
Pick the source device (where vPilot/xPilot outputs), pick your playback device, set a target loudness.
Built-in brickwall limiter prevents blasts; a tiny, configurable delay applies perfect normalisation.
Remembers your settings and devices.
No drivers or virtual cables—uses Windows WASAPI loopback.
For the top dropdown menu, this MUST be the same as your vPilot output device. You MUST ensure this is a device that does not route to your headset. It must be a device that is not monitored. This ensures vPilot is outputting properly but you cannot hear the raw audio.
The second dropdown is now for you to select your headset audio device.
Please Provide Feedback!
I have created this just to fix my own issues with sporadic pilot/atc volumes on VATSIM, so if you have any suggestions or issues, please reach out. I'll be more than happy to take a look. :)

It normalizes incoming audio from pilots and air traffic control, ensuring consistent volume levels during transmissions. The application includes features such as a built-in brickwall limiter for preventing sudden audio spikes and a configurable delay for optimal sound adjustment. Users can easily select their audio devices and set a target loudness without the need for additional drivers or virtual cables, utilizing Windows WASAPI loopback technology.

Updated to ensure you cannot select the same source and output device. This leads to echos, so update to prevent misconfigurations. If you have been having issues with echos, please use this update as it will help ensure correct configuration. As well as this, please ensure you are not "listening" to your source device in any way.

I have Headsets.

Make sure you read the readme, that will explain why it's not working for you - the two devices must not match.
The top device must be any audio source that you cannot hear in your headset, then the bottom one can remain the headset you listen to your audio on.
