    Description

    Greenwood airport (CYZX) , is a Canadian Forces Base located 1.5 nautical miles (2.8 km; 1.7 mi) east of Greenwood, Nova Scotia. It is primarily operated as an air force base by the Royal Canadian Air Force and is one of two bases in the country using the CP-140 Aurora and CP-140A Arcturus anti-submarine/maritime patrol and surveillance aircraft. Its primary RCAF lodger unit is 14 Wing Greenwood.

    Greenwood Airport scenery includes the following facilities:

    Specifically modeled for this scenery:

    -Hangar 14
    -FireStation
    -Some other hangars on the civil part
    -TACAN
    -Arrestor cables
    -Museum is actually is partially implemented still WIP
    fuel tanks
    Lines on the ramp;
    Several objects and vehicles;
    Correction of terrain level et vegetation;
    Light beacons;
    Runway and taxiway texture corrections;
    Added frequencies for TOWER, GROUND, CLEARANCE and ATIS. 

    Installation:

    Place the pgall-cyzx-greenwood folder in the Community directory of FS2020 or FS2024.

    You just made my month. I grew up in Digby and am very familiar with Greenwood. I've long thought it was a very important and overlooked field. There is a great Shearwater as part of the CYHZ (Standfield) by Simaddons and a good freeware Summerside. I'm old enough to remember when Argus flew in and out of Greenwood. Was always exciting to see them heading out on patrol when I was a kid. Such an important strategic base, and such a great job modeling it. Bravo Zulu!

    Excellent work thank you! In the RCAF 100 Anniversary in 2024. we are two airports from having a complete line-up in MSFS. We are missing Moose Jaw and Southport.

    That's really cool. The Shearwater CYAW that comes with the CYHZ Stanfield addon by Simaddons is excellent. It's going to be fun to make short hops now between Shearwater and Greenwood, with a nice maritime patrol out to Sable Island.
