    This is a repaint package for the PMDG 737-800 in colours of Qantas.

    Pictures were made with the MSFS 2024 version. MSFS 2020 cabin differs slightly in design.

    Installation via OC3

    To reduce file size I have added a 'livery' called 'Qantas Commons'

    In MSFS 2020 it doesn't show up in the sim menu intentionally.

    In MSFS 2024 it shows up and can be used as VH-VXB

    Installation via PMDG Operations Center 3:

    1: Extract the *.zip file to a temporary location, ie desktop
    2: Run PMDG Operations Center 3. 
    3: Choose the 737-800, then Import.
    4: Choose the 'qfa_commons.zip' folder and at least one of the registrations e.g. 'qfa_vhvzx.zip' and hit open.
    5. After installation was successful, start MSFS, choose the installed livery and enjoy!
    6: Leave the 'Qantas Commons' installed as long as you use this pack, as shared textures are stored there needed for all liveries of this package.

    Is it ok to copy & paste my msfs 2020 .ini files into 2024 ?
    Or do I have to load the fleet one at a time and edit the aircraft that way, that's a lot of work ?
    And does anyone know which options to select for the current QF fleet?
    I have a pdf made by AusFS back in 2017 mostly out of date now I guess.

    Each registrations comes with a ini in 2020 and 2024, OC3 should install them automatically. I've tried to match it with available cockpit pictures as good as possible. You can copy the 2020 inis over to 2024 (don't know why, but okay). But be aware, PMDG has added configurations to 2024 the 2020 version never got, so they would be missing then.

    Thanks for the reply, OC3 never installed the .ini files, they were created one at a time as I loaded the various aircraft. So what I did was I used Chat GPT to edit vh-vxa.ini with the correct QANTAS options. Then I asked Chat GPT to create the complete set of .ini files for the whole fleet with older and newer aircraft having different options as they do, all done in a few minutes. crazy stuff. The other problem I had was, I tried to load up VZW but I couldn't find it in 2024, I searched for the vzw livery file livery.cfg, and under the General section the rego wasn't vzw it was vzq or something like that I can't remember, anyway I changed that to vzw went back into the sim and it was there, loaded up ok?

    The commons is basically just a storage for all the textures every registration included here shares like COMP textures, engines, tail, all cabin textures. The registrations pick their textures from here at first. That way I can save a lot of space.The pack is now around 2GB large, each registration around 60MB. If I did each registration individually they would be more or less 250MB, the pack would go into the 10GBs, that's the upload limit here at fs.to. I wouldn't be able to add the 2024 version anymore when it's coming at some point and you would have wasted a lot a space with repetitive textures. Hope that explains it a bit.
