#Sightseeing #Handcrafted #Real-Life #Nature United States Drag and Drop
This mod redraws the entire shoreline of Big Bear Lake, CA and fixes some glaring issues with the default scenery in the Big Bear area. The goal is to bring the scenery as close to reality as possible.
Features:
  • Much more detailed shoreline for Big Bear Lake and Stanfield Marsh
  • Stanfield Cutoff is now above water
  • Stanfield Marsh boardwalk is now more visible
  • Baldwin Lake is now dry
  • Erwin Lake is now dry
  • Snow summit is now lit up at night
  • Added the solar observatory
  • Updated the biomes for the entire San Bernardino mountains. So Pine trees now grow in Big Bear, Lake Arrowhead, Lake Gregory etc.
  • Added scrub brush in the Erwin Lake area
  • A few black bears now live in the woods behind Fawnskin where there are frequent sightings.
  • The CA-18 bridge at the dam is no longer baked into the scenery texture
  • Added the solar array behind the convention center/wyatts
  • Lots of little fixes and improvements all over Big Bear.
Request: Looking for an accurate model of the Big Bear solar observatory and the Big Bear Lake dam. If there's any artists out there who would like to volunteer their time, please contact me.

L35 Mod: This mod is compatible with the L35 Big Bear Airport Mod

I see that every day you improve the scenery, good! I think you just need to put the dam at the end of the lake.

I will be focusing on the dam area for the next update. Unfortunately, I don't have a model of the dam yet, but the area should still look better after some terraforming and texture work, which will solve the problem of the 18 showing twice.

    * Note: The following no longer applies as you no longer need to worry about load order. This was fixed in 1.2.

If you copied the L35 mod first, you shouldn't have to edit the load order. Otherwise you can manually edit content.xml or use a tool such as msfs addons linker

    Your Content.xml should be here:
    %appdata%\Microsoft Flight Simulator\

To modify the load order, just move the line with this package name to the bottom of your list.
