I guess thats nothing a third-party could make, since its some core-sim functionality.

Hi guys,
-
I think its time for a section "working on". It would be so good to see if anyone is actually working on something particular, to avoid multiple people doing the same thing. There is this request section on flightsim.to which is awesome, however, I suggest a supplementary section, where people can actually upload their WIP.

why no one is making a replay mode
-
sorry for question but...how can download the wallpapers?
-
Would it be a lot of trouble putting the version number in the My Uploads page?
-
Bring back the 48hrs Recent Activity drop down please!
-
You'll probably find it now under Featured -> This Days Best
-
That was quick with the version number. Thanks, you're doing an awesome job with this site!

Sorry for the question, but do we have to get the plane from somewhere first?
There is no JK_N323 folder on this .zip...
What am I missing?

Can't update the layout.json because of a too long path name. Am I doing something wrong ? It happened to me with some other liveries mods as well. Thanks anyway for this cool aircraft and liveries.
I have not had a single problem, and I used it 100's of times by now
Tarval
Very well, done the correction, it could be installed without problem. Thanks a lot!

Item 4 should be:
with the included auto_json program, update the layout.json file in the 'ozx-aircraft-goose-hd' folder. To do so, double click the auto_json.exe file to open the program, click 'directory' and select the 'ozx-aircraft-goose-hd' directory, click 'OK', and click 'save as' and save as layout.json.

How does this connect to the plane? It's not doing it for me. I'm putting it in the community file but no connection to the plane. I'm not finding any "atsimulations-aircraft-piaggio" folder
Tarval
Yes, just like fellow aviators, the installation process is a bit complicated ..... I followed the instructions but I can't find the 'atsimulations-aircraft-piaggio' .... it's the texture of the plane that I have expected for trips to Catalina Island .... I will have to uninstall it until you have an answer .... I'm in my 75s and too, ha-ha-ha! Thank you!

I'm 74, install is too much work and confusing for me, too bad you don't have an auto install drop into the community folder like most guys, so I'll have to pass, thanks anyway
Make sure you have possibility to redownload the plane if it fails or you have issues. In case something goes wrong just delete the old folder and place a new one.
To install the skin... if all works OK... Is just like any other mod or skin:
1. Download this archive... its name is the instructions basically.
https://mega.nz/file/AN9VHaqS#RyV7ekv437fa1tEkzytcgmaHatsUd79uBhMFCn0Zf2U
2. Open archive with zip 7zip etc. inside should be a folder named exactly as the folder of the plane you had downloaded from MFS Forums. This name: ozx-aircraft-goose-hd
3. Put the folder in Community folder where you put liveries and planes etc. Windows should ask to overwrite! This is the sign that you have the same naming folder as default. Say yes to overwrite and that should be all.
If it doesn't ask to overwrite, you must have a different name for the plane folder. So search for it in Community folder... maybe you don't have a lot of them and is not hard. And double click it to enter it. Then return to the opened archive... double click the folder of the plane named "ozx-aircraft-goose-hd". Now drag the folder "SimObjects" and the file "layout.json" from the archive in the Goose plane folder you have searched previously.
Windows should ask permission to overwrite. Say yes.
Again... it should work... this time.
If you change the plane version later with an update... all bets are off... most probably the files will change and you will need to do it again in another way.
I hope it helps.
Tell me if it worked.
P.S. If you need to follow the second way. Don't forget to delete the folder: ozx-aircraft-goose-hd if you dropped it inside the community folder and windows didn't asked to overwrite cause it might create troubles as it instructs the game about a plane that basically is not there.
I really hope is not more complicated... I don't know how to explain in fewer words.

drag and drop did not work for some obscure reason

Tried now the instructions. It seems it contains info from the Piagio plane. I tried to change forlder with the Goose and the resulted json file is a bit strange.
edit But it worked! /edit
Could you please check the instructions again?
Thanks!
