    Kaufbeuren Airbase (former ETSK) - Image 1

    Description

    This package contains: Adding missing military airbase Kaufbeuren (Fliegerhorst Kaufbeuren, former ICAO code: ETSK). There is almost no military traffic anymore (just some landing Eurofighters and some helicopters), but a flying club "Luftsportverein Kaufbeuren e.V." is active there with gliders and some small piston aircrafts.

    Features: Flatten of some areas, some minor terraforming including sloped runway, rework of the vegetation within the airport area, some details with default objects.

    Real freqency 122.365 now.

    Made just with default and freeware sim objects, no custom objects yet.

    Installation: Copy both folders "kfdesign-etsk" and "kfdesign-etsk-ortho" to "MSFS-Directory/Community/". After restart of MSFS, the scenery will show up in your sim.

    You need further f    iles listed at Dependencies. Please copy these asset libraries also to your "Cummunity" folder.

    License:     This package is free to use and for private and non-profitable purposes only.

    Notice: This is Version 0.93. Maybe there will be some future updates.

    The imagery is based on the images provided by Google Earth Pro, dated 4/14/2018.

    Hi dear fellows, like Papa Daniel I´m missing the etsk-ortho file. Perhaps it´s like a brease of pepper for the scenery. I think there is much more moving, traffic and buildings in reality. Thank you very much for your work, perhaps there are some future updates!

    Great job! THX a lot...

    Could you maybe vacate the helipad with the scenery heli and make the helipad a usable parking postion!? I would love to use the helipad as a spawning point for my H135 :-)

    P.S.: I'm born in KF and know these barracks and airfield by heart ;-)

    It’s a pleasure being back home. I controlled the traffic there between 1974 and 1994. I even had the first Tornado under my control, landing at Kaufbeuren. Those were the days…

    Nice to hear that, was also missing that airfield, therefore I created it. There is just the problem, I am not able yet to create all the buildings like in reality, but maybe in future. But the airport layout is now ok, during flying it remembers the real thing.
