I guess thats nothing a third-party could make, since its some core-sim functionality.

Hi guys,
-
I think its time for a section "working on". It would be so good to see if anyone is actually working on something particular, to avoid multiple people doing the same thing. There is this request section on flightsim.to which is awesome, however, I suggest a supplementary section, where people can actually upload their WIP.

why no one is making a replay mode
-
sorry for question but...how can download the wallpapers?
-
Would it be a lot of trouble putting the version number in the My Uploads page?
-
Bring back the 48hrs Recent Activity drop down please!
-
You'll probably find it now under Featured -> This Days Best
-
That was quick with the version number. Thanks, you're doing an awesome job with this site!

Nice addon but what i would love to see is the liveatc.net option which is live ATC using that now just have to switch every time. should be nice to have an option in your app to do this in there. Even nicer, for areas that have no live atc streamed you use the mp3s for areas that have the Liveatc active for that frequency you hear the live stream, now that would be an awesome option for sure in your app.

Highly recommend this! I bought the pack and can't immagine MSF without it any more :)

The clips are curated using volunteers. It would be great to get more people to help grow the collection and there are some nominal rewards for volunteers. You can read more about the program here:

I purchased this a few days ago I feel it's a thoughtful add-on that works well, depending in which areas you fly.
For instance, I flew Frankfurt to Zurich and received no chatter.
Barcelona to Madrid I received a moderate amount.
There is no UK ATC chatter due to recording restrictions. Just a heads up. US and Canadian regions is where this add-on really shines. There's plenty of chatter there.
Would rate a 5 if there were more clips available for more regions of the globe. The application itself is genius and works perfect. Pretty much just open it and you're good to go once you've set it up.

Application tres interessante ! je l'utilise a chaque vol. cela ajoute un peu de realiste. on evite de s'ennuyer dans les long trajet.

As soon as this add-on manages the FS2020 ATC I buy :)

Hi.
Thank you. This is a great addon! Only one little thing. Is there a way to make your app aware that the FS2020 ATC or I are currently transmitting in FS2020 (ATC calling me, or me calling ATC)?
I often get ATC chatter while asking for take off clearence etc.
Mark
I noticed that alot of the Freq MSFS uses around South America as a example don't match ATC chatter, so I use Comm 2 set to 123.275 manually.
Ps I tried the import tool, from Github as suggested in manual but it doesn't appear to recognise Steam, version. I looked through config file but could not see any file locations lookups. I noticed in error log says Official/steam/Onestore. It should be Official/steam [OneStore is only used with Xbox/ MS-Store]. Any help appreciated, coding and SQL is really not my thing. TIA
Edit: File location MSFS 2020 Steam
C:\Users\user pc\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\UserCfg.opt
E:\SSD_GAMES\steamapps\common\MicrosoftFlightSimulator\Official\Steam [msfs Install location]
Let me know if you figure it out.

I tried to use it I believe on two aircraft (maybe 3) but could not get it to work. I switched channels and everything but nothing. I read the manual as well. Is there a list of airplanes this will not work for?

Connected to Sim
Radio power on (with a plane that is setting that sim variable properly)
Tuned to a facility that is within 100 NM of your position
If people get confused by this maybe we are better off having those options off and then it will start playing chatter at a default controller as soon as you start the app.
Feedback appreciated.

Take a look at the screen shots above.

is this only "background" ATC ?
if yes, can I still have "normal" ATC chatter with MSFS ATC for IFR flights simultaneously ?
With the ingame "nasty" ATC sound, you should be able to hear the difference when it calls you, or am I missing something here ?

You may not be able to answer this question, but I will ask anyway... In MSFS are the other radio calls you hear coming from AI traffic (either randomly generated or representing a real world flight, its all AI) or do you also hear the calls of other players? For example, two friends using discord to communicate, decide to spawn into the same airport at gates right next to each other. Of course you can't chat over the MSFS radio but would you still hear each other's ATC communication chatter? I am asking because I am trying to understand if it communicates with the other players or simply creates the illusion of it. So if it turns out msfs ATC is pointless window dressing, then of course I would use yours instead. Its much higher quality, more variety, and best of all spoken at the higher speeds found when making real life radio calls.
I know some people are using Discord for group flights and some add-on plugins that emulate a radio through Discord. I don't know how good they are.
Obviously you have the online networks for that like VatSim and POSCON but they tend to want you to behave like the real world.
It is entirely feasible to enhance FS-ATC-Chatter to allow voice communication between players. I'd love to know more about what you find on this topic. I'd hate to waste the time building that functionality if there is already something out there that people are using and like.
It's just not how the game was designed - and is mainly a solitary experience. Let's assume their online settings are the same (Live players, Live ATC, and Live Traffic), can you imagine how busy an airport like JFK would be? The taxiways and ATC would be unbearably busy, to the point of frustration.
Assuming they have played online before, they would have seen other live players in the sky, as those players will pop up with just their username showing. They won't be able to hear the other player's ATC (as its not designed that way), but even if they could, it would be generic responses.
Depending on where they are in the world, there is another solution: a real-time ATC player. Many airports in the US broadcast live ATC, and the most popular is https://www.liveatc.net
They could in theory tune in to where they are, and have that playing in the background - switching frequencies depending on what they are doing like clearance, departure, approach or Tower.
There is another option too, but it involves a bit of homework. They could join a VATSIM network for free, and actually talk to a human ATC on the VATSIM network themselves. If they are looking for a realistic ATC experience, there is nothing that comes closer.

As a long time user of this on X-Plane I can only tell you how glad I am to have this on MSFS as I muted the annoying default ATC but miss the radio. I would recommend this to anyone & I will be getting the full version for sure. Glad you took this opportunity !
