    NOTE: This scenery is compatible with SLOVENIA 20m DEM by Troglodytus  and with the default scenery!

    For my 3rd project, I've recreated Lesce Bled airport (LJBL) and the lake Bled scenery (castle and island with the church). The airport has seen activity in WW1 and WW2 and a post-war commercial route until LJLJ was opened in 1963. It has hosted many aviation-related businesses since. The operator of the airport is the Aero Club ALC Lesce-Bled with private companies having their HQ in additional hangars (a GA service shop and a helicopter operator). The Aero Club ALC Lesce-Bled has more than 300 member pilots and it holds annual meetings in gliding and parachuting activities.

    Additionally, this package also contains the hand build island of lake Bled and castle a few miles East of the airport.

    Unzip the download and drag&drop the folder into your community folder!

    • Fixed compatibility for the World Update XIV (custom castle and island are removed as default have been implemented)
    • Reworked aprons and terraforming due to change in DEM detail and satellite imagery
    • Few quick tweaks here and there (I'm planning to do an overhaul of the airport in the future)

     

     

    The majority of sources for the textures were obtained by myself, some online references were used. The build was tested and reviewed for VR with good fps results (i7 8700, rtx3080, 32Gb, Reverb G2).

    So how bad is it in FS2024 and more importantly. Will we ever see an update for these beautiful airfields in FS2024.

    Nice and living scenery. But all the glider-trailers are actual magenta. Do I miss any texure file?

    My earliest memories are from a holiday in Bled. I was 2 years old. I remember the snow, I remember the church on the island in the middle of the lake, I also remember the cave in Postojna.
    I have never been to Slovenia again, but those memories are edged in.
    Now I can explore it all virtually, thanks to your awesome sceneries!

    Hi. I added some default GA traffic for all you Slovenian airports, some C152, C172, DA40 and such with AIFP. For some reason, although I have flightplans to LJBL it sees no traffic. Did you do some parking sports for the airport and are they wide enought to accomodate some single engine aircraft?

    Well I am sorry, but I miss your scenery... the castle is flying!!! since WU 14 and looking idiotic!

    The new castle is flying? I've run some tests with assets and none and didn't get it flying. Either way, I will restore my scenery as an option, just have to finish update all my other airports

    Thanks for your replay. I tried several things since WU14... deleting, reinstalling your scenery new... same probleme. The castle is flying in the sky on a high high undiscribeable mountain that does not fit as well. But this morning I tried to delete SLO MESH. Now it looks better, but still completely strange as bevor WU14! Thanks for your work, I hope you can fix it with WU14 and microsofts Bled...

    The original scenery with the lake and the island was just beautiful and very realistic as I remember from different visits there. Also the boats near the stairs of the island were authentic. Now we see some artificial stuff from MS. Isn't there also a possibiliy to replace the updated lake from MS by the original scenery of LESCE-BLED?

    I will restore my scenery as an option. Let me finish updating all the other airport first, some of them are really a mess :)

    Thanks for the update:
    BUT to be honest ... if I could chose I would prefer your landmarks. They look more alive than the ones from the World Update. It's subtle, but it's definitely there.
