Twotter Revived progress
Dear Diary! The mod now has a "vertical slice" of a custom damage system. It currently models the lifecycles of glareshield annunciator bulbs and Pitot probes, the former based solely on hours and cycles, the latter based mostly on "abuse" (Pitot heat w/o airflow). All the groundwork of the past months is finally starting to pay off. I'll do a couple more test flights trying to find bugs, in preparation for the next release.

Forgotten on my workbench since March 2025, this airport is finally getting its long-overdue update. After Sim Update 4, several default objects were removed or replaced by Microsoft/Asobo. This v3.0 update replaces all missing objects, mainly buildings and hangars. Changelog & Improvements: The entire airport has been completely realigned with the latest Bing Maps data (using the ground imagery featured in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024). - Runway & Markings: Fully updated runway width, colors, and all markings. - Runway Textures: Enhanced runway textures (MSFS 2024 only). - Static Aircraft: Replaced the default SimObject airplanes with performance-friendly, low-poly static models. - Object Fixes: Restored missing hangars and buildings (MSFS 2024 only). - Taxiways: Fixed and updated the taxiway lines on the runway. - Textures: Fixed transparency issues on several textures. - Economy: Updated the fuel price! A Quick Note on Elevation Issues (Sorry!) This is by far my most difficult scenery to develop due to the massive amount of conflicting elevation data. Because of this, some terrain issues still exist. You may encounter a few bumps and some steep or strange slopes around the airport. I appreciate your patience and understanding as I continue to work through these tricky elevation bugs!

Better late than never! After a year of silence (and honestly, I forgot about it...), KPVF is finally updated for MSFS 2020 & 2024. Why fly here? Placerville is a classic "tabletop" airport perched on a ridge in California’s Gold Country. It’s the perfect technical challenge and a stunning gateway to the Sierra Nevada and Lake Tahoe. What’s New? - Fix: Restored all hangars and buildings missing since SU4. - Performance: Switched to low-poly static aircraft. - MSFS 2024: Enhanced runway textures and specific object fixes.

View AddonSo many regressions! (Twotter Revived)
Dear diary, I'm kinda worried. Over the past week, I discovered two major regressions in the last release of the mod: during a cleanup pass, I inadvertently disabled a bunch of audio events like the pump sounds, and I put changes to the glareshield annunciators in a file I shouldn't have touched, because touching it apparently signaled to the sim that it should interpret certain parts of the visual model as if they were built for MSFS2024 (which they obviously aren't) leading to aggressive culling of the interior model resulting in visible holes in the model when viewed from the outside. What bothers me is not so much that I made these mistakes. This is my first "serious" aircraft mod. Mistakes must be made to learn. What bothers me is that not a single person spoke up and said "Dude, this is shit, this looks or sounds worse than before." I think I'd rather have received a one-star review. Ah well, water under the bridge. Audio is fixed, I think, and just after posting on the devforum about the LOD issues, I think I realized what the mistake was, so I'm gonna fix that next, do a last polish pass on the AP and then I can hopefully release an improved v2024.2.x build.

🚀 New milestone for ItalianCharter Team Scenery...
🚀New milestone for ItalianCharter Team Scenery Today we are sharing an important step forward in the development of our **Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024** sceneries. By combining our **ETM – Enhanced Terrain Mesh** workflow with advanced raster editing in **QGISl**, we have achieved something that was previously very difficult to manage: **recreating realistic airport elevation differences directly within airport areas**, including runways, taxiways, aprons, and surrounding terrain. In the past, airport areas often had to be treated as large exclusion zones to avoid artifacts and compatibility issues. The downside was clear: no heightmap coverage exactly where terrain accuracy matters most. Now the workflow has changed. The **heightmaps are now present inside and around the airport**, as shown by the yellow grid overlays in the screenshots, and they can work together with manually corrected airport surfaces in QGIS. This allows us to keep full control over operational areas while preserving the natural elevation profile of the terrain. The result is a much more realistic foundation: runways with more credible slopes, taxiways better integrated into the terrain, aprons that are no longer artificially flat, and smoother transitions with the surrounding landscape. This is an important step for the quality of our sceneries, especially for airports located in complex, desert, hilly, or strongly variable terrain environments. ItalianCharter Team continues to invest in proprietary tools and advanced workflows to bring increasingly accurate, realistic, and technically refined sceneries to MSFS 2024. ✈️ **Terrain mesh, airport elevation, QGIS editing, and MSFS 2024: another important milestone has been reached.**
Twotter Revived v2024.2.113 released
Dear diary, the main user-facing features in v2024.2.x are probably the config tab of the EFB app, icing, maybe the custom KAP 140. The main features for me are the new electrical system that drives the brightness of the glareshield annunciators, the "alternate ITT calculation" (TurbSim) and the changes to a handful of gauges to make them feel less "simmy", more physical. I have two open issues left that really bother me: NAV pre-arm doesn't work and ADF frequency restore isn't reliable. Both could either be quick fixes or rabbit holes, there's no way of knowing, so I better release something now before I break everything again because I decide to fork the KR-87 or whatever. v2024.2.x might get a few polish and bug fix releases. Let's see what feedback I get. v2024.3.x might be the version that gets engine damage and effects. We'll see.
