Once apon a time long long ago when travel from NZ for leisure without 14 days in managed isolation was a real thing... I ended up flying to this airport, the good old original airport of Bangkok... Bangkok Don Mueang International airport on my way for a nice island getaway to Ko Lipe via Hat Yai after a nice week in Chiang Mai (hanging with the elephants and eating incredibly cheap and amazing food)
Don Mueang International airport.... One of THEE oldest airports in Asia... It was all but lined up for demolition... But through a few teething issues with the new airport along with other issues... It has now got a second lease on life as the budget airline airport...
I decided to recreate the flight but after seeing the current state of the airport in MSFS.... I decided to re-created it for myself and have decided to share with you guys my creation.... (Attempt...)
It's not perfect by all means... It is very basic... I have progressed from my other attempts, this time being that I put some extra effort in some yellow lines around the grass bits... But battling a very buggy SDK laced with the good old CTD friend...(He's a good friend...) I ended up saying... "Oh..... Fu..FFFF...Fudge it!!!"
So here is....
Bangkok original International airport 'Don Mueang' in it's most simplest form with accurate main parking and fixing up a few minor details in true Fras444 fashion...
Hope jetways work as I was having issues with them during the development and trialing before uploading
Disclaimer.... This airport was purely made for myself first and foremost and for the pure aspect of having accurate taxiways and parking (to an extent) so that ATC (in it's current state of life-support) can give me some sort of accurate directions to parking/runway.. I have shared this for those who, like mentioned in my previous airport descriptions, want a much better representation of their airport than what the default has in regards to taxiways and parking and the like and are not too worried about anything else...
So please enjoy and any feedback please let it be constructive feedback for the growth in confidence and better understanding of the SDK...
Kind regards

Very nice, I have fond memories of VTBD hopping through there on my way to/from London. Mostly spending the 90 minutes in one of the small glass boxes the size of my bedroom chain smoking 6 cigarettes before reboarding. Also a Qantas 747 overshot the landing and ended up on the 15th hole about 20 years ago in bad weather.

A much improved scenery compared with the default one. However, 2 mini bugs i noticed:
1) The following duplicated jetways, overlap/collide with each other at gates: 32,34,36,42,44,46. They also collide with the aircraft that spawns there.
2) I think the ground textures have a bit too much of a yellow shade.

Glad you enjoy the mod mate
Oh mate that was something that I noticed not long after uploading the mod, it happened during one of those sim updated and I had major problems with the SDK as it was extremely buggy and kept freezing and kept CTD.
It was a bonus just to finish this project during that time as I was going to finish off the military section of the airport along with fixing those jetways but that was put on hold during those issues with the SDK.
The colorations of the ground textures was a painstaking (not that painstaking) but it was an attempt when I discovered that I could change the color ground textures, through studying google and Bing maps and watching various youtube videos, I notice that most of those tropical airports, I'm guessing from the high humidity and rain/moisture that some of those airports had a yellowish/green colorations to their aprons so I tried to replicate that to the best of the default SDK tools
I'm trying to find that next creative spark again to fix/touch up/complete various mods that I have uploaded.
Hope you are enjoying the mod now that those AI traffic mods have arrived and you get to see all the various airliners that use Don Mueang airport.
