This EXE allows to connect flight navigation software supporting NMEA data over TCP/IP with Flight Simulator 2020.This app has been tested & proven to work with XCSoar.

Usage:
- start the exe BEFORE starting a flight in flight Simulator. It connects best when FS2020 is in main menu.  If FS2020 wasn't started yet when starting the EXE you have 10 minutes to start it so that it can reach the main menu and the EXE can connect.  (Should be sufficient as long as FS2020 doesn't download updates)
- If starting for first time please allow all connection  within the popup of Windows firewall so that external navigation systems can connect.
- Connect your Navigation software using IP as shown and port 10110. Seetings in XC Soar would be NMEA Source --> TCP Client --> Driver generic or FLarm.
- start your flight in FS2020- have fun :)

Known issues:
- Only one connection supported currently. If connection to navi software is lost EXE (&flight) must be restarted
- some Anti-Virus like Avast claim this EXE is a threat (IDP.Generic). As you can see on the web these issues are almost always false positive (same here). Please add exception to virus filter.
- no traffic information yet as FS2020 SDK doesn't support to read traffic

The connection with XCSoar on my tablet is without problems, but is there any way to connect to XSSoar desktop version on the same computer as MSFS?

Hi, it would be nice if you could add an option to send the Gps data via com-ports (virtual com port) 1 e.g. too.
    great tool

    Hi,

    thanks for your inputs.
I published 0.2 which always should now provide proper GPS Messages (also before starting a flight or between flying).

Yeah, the timestamp never progresses beyond the timestamp of when I launch your .exe ... and never can get the lat/long to be anything but 0. Help!

I'm looking at the TCP data coming into XCSoar, and it appears invalid in various ways. The main problem is the RMC sentences have the same date stamp repeating over and over, and the lat and long are stuck at 0 deg lat and long

The Exe must be "connected" BEFORE launching a flight.
So Flight Sim should be ideally in Main menu (after update screen) when starting the Exe.

Otherwise I don#t get any data through Flight Simulator SDK, so I cannot provide proper NMEA output :(

But at least with new 0.2 it should always have a valid GPS Fix ;)

Does this work with the latest patch?
For me it connects to MSFS but never detects the start of a flight...
    XCSoar says not connected.

I verified with XCSoar which allows direct NMEA-over.TCP/IP input. For most other apps I'd need to find a proper GPS fake app for Android which allows for TCP/IP input.

If anybody got a good idea which app could work please let me know. If I can get proper protocol information I'd write another addon for GPS fake ;)
