Description
Our first attempt at airport creation within MSFS!!! A majority of the models selected for this scenery are from the Asobo repository and this add-on airport also utilizes the sims existing photogrammetry. Special thanks to H2Air for providing us with their support and custom objects seen in the latest update!!! Signage, lighting, fencing, and taxiways are all custom placed to replicate their real world placement (as best as possible). Future updates will include custom buildings and textures that match the real world surfaces, terminals, and hangars!!! Enjoy!!!
*Update v 1.3!!!!!:
-Special thanks to H2Air for his support with this update!!! With their authorization and help, we were able to update the MVY Air Traffic Control Tower, Segmented Circle, and ASOS Equipment to mimic their real world counterparts!!!! Shout out to H2Air, and for some of the best addons, I encourage you to check out his FlightSim.to page: https://flightsim.to/profile/H2Air/uploads
*Update v 1.4!!!!:
-Thanks to @bbsmitz for bringing an issue to our attention and for your support in testing our fix!!! On some setups, our add-on would cause the Marketplace and Content Manager to not load in correctly (loading loop). This has now been resolved!
*Update v 1.5!!!:
-MAJOR AIRPORT UPDATE: H2Air has created a custom terminal which mimics its real world counterpart to incredible detail!!! Thank you H2Air for bringing this project to the next level!!! We couldn't have done it without you!!!
-Updated textures on aprons, taxiways, runways. Added more accurate static elements, recreated some of the parking lots and fence lines and much more!!!
*-HOTFIX 1.5.5!!:
-A sincere thank you to two outstanding flightsim.to members who reported a couple of issues with our latest build and even helped with testing the hotfixes: BigDaddy1038 and KiloZebra!!!
-This hotfix corrects: Fence line sizing glitch/error (Issue Description: Would create an oversized version of the fence line put in place near the control tower)(Fix: Fence line replaced with a much more stable model) and a building wall glitch (Issue Description: Would remove the whole back portion of the wall, making it invisible when zoomed in)(Fix: Replaced model with a different building model).
-Thank you both for your support!!! We couldn't have fixed these issues without you!!!
*Update v 1.6!:
-Per user request (Thanks Dave!!!), we've incorporated 2 open hangars on the field. We'd include more, but it doesn't work with the aesthetics of the airfield (we tried!). Special thanks to the Open Hangar Library from Windhover!!! Thank you for sharing your work to the community and for allowing us to use your hangars!!!
-Removed fire trucks as they aren't the correct, authentic color (red vs yellow).
-Added a few more trees, adjusted some ramp area dimensions, and tweaked some building placement.
*Update v 1.7!:
-Adjusted some signage and added a few runway identifier signs where appropriate.
-Incorporated H2Air's new Runway Wig-Wag System (Special Thanks to H2Air for allowing us to use it and for being such a huge part of this project!!!)
-Adjusted RWY 6/24 texture direction to line up with runway markings. It isn't perfect, but after enough fidgeting, this is the best I could do.
-Removed some trees near the ALS (Approach Lighting System) providing a clear line of sight from the end of the REIL to the last of the SLF's (Sequence Flashing Lights).
*Update v 1.8!:
-Thanks and shout out to blondejfx for recognizing an issue with our windsocks! They were displaying the wrong direction vs what the real world winds were portraying. The issue has been resolved and the windsocks appear to display the correct wind direction!
*Update v 1.9!:
-Fixed an issue that was creating a bump located by the 1000 ft markers landing Runway 24. The project was modified and the issue's been resolved.
*Update v 2.0!:
-User Request: Link up parking spots to taxiways so that GSX works properly (Isolated Parking Spots/GSX Services Issue). This has been implemented and the issue has been resolved. I will NOT be creating a custom profile for KMVY to support GSX due to my lack of knowledge when it comes to GSX airport profile creation and real world time constraints. Luckily, we have a wonderful community that has much more experience in this realm and they can do a much better job than whatever I can muster lol!
-Unless there are future sim updates that cause issues with our scenery, this should cap development for KMVY. Thank you to everyone for your support!!! Be on the lookout for more sceneries in the future!!!

Excellent mod Guys..Super! I have one little prob myself...The runway lights seem to be a lot higher than the runway itself, like maybe 200ft...I noticed when on an evening ILS approach to Rwy 24...I don't have any other KMVY scenery installed...Any ideas what could be causing that?

Sorry for the delay! Just saw this comment! Is it the runway edge lighting that you’re having trouble with, the centerline lighting, or is it the approach lighting system? I’ll have a look when I get home tomorrow to see if I notice anything immediately or if I’ll have to wait for more information from you.
I know some add-ons have broken in the past few because of the elevation changes made by MS/Asobo for the US, so could be something happening there. Again, I’ll have a look and see if I notice anything.

Had a few moments before bed, so I decided to load up the sim and have a look at the lighting. Based on the version currently available on the TO, I’m not seeing any issues with the approach lighting, runway lighting, or the PAPI, and taxiway lighting. A few things to try (if you have time and are willing):
1.) Make sure that you have all of the US World Updates (I believe it was WU2 and WU10.) This scenery was built with those dependencies in place, so they may have geo data/elevation data that the scenery will rely on.
2.) If that doesn’t resolve the issue or you already have those WU’s installed, I suggest deleting the add-on and try redownloading the file.
3.) I know you mentioned that you checked for possible add-on conflicts, but if possible, make sure that there isn’t something for the region that might be causing issues. One add-on that comes to mind is the Martha’s Vineyard Airports mod by timot75. They updated a few airports on the island and also did one for MVY. This would potentially cause a conflict, but I’m surprised to hear that it’s only affecting the runway lighting. The MSFS SDK doesn’t allow us to create custom runway/approach lighting as it’s procedurally generated based on the information we place into their Runway creator tool.
Should none of this work, let me know and we can have a look and see if anything else is going on.

Hi Hawks1326, many thanks for your reply...I'll try those few things you suggested when I get a chance, and will let you know. :-)

Yup. Even more awesome after your updates, obviously. Keep up the good work. Payware quality....no....better than a lot of payware quality airports out there.

Really nice-looking scenery. However, I am running into an issue though with it and GSX Pro. It is giving me "This parking is Isolated; Ground Services are not available"....and will not load the GSX menu. I have seen this before and it is because the taxiways are not connected to the parking spaces. If I enable dev mode in msfs I can see this is the case with your KMVY airport. Would you be willing to add connecting those taxiways and parking ramp locations to your list of additions? It would allow GSX to function. Thanks so much. Really nice work overall!

I saw the update just now and that you resolved this issue per my request. Thanks so much for your work on this! I will look into creating the GSX Pro profile and sharing with the community. Unless someone beats me to it. :)

I second KACK can use your talent. The one that is posted on this site is generic and not very convincing.
