Softer Landing Gear Suspension For iniBuilds A350-900/1000 - Image 2

    Description

Every single flight I find yet another obvious mistake or something completely wrong compared to the real aircraft. And the latest insult? ini actually modeled two strobe lights on each wing, but the A350 still flashes only one instead of the proper alternating pattern. I am done with this piece of ****. I’m not updating this cfg ever again. It’s painfully clear that the ini devs have zero passion for flight simulation and don’t even bother using their own product. ini has absolutely no right to call themselves developers of “professional-level” airliners.

The landing gear suspension of the ini350 doesn’t match reality. In real life, the suspension of an almost fully loaded A359 is nearly fully compressed, but in the ini359 the compression at near maximum load shows almost no difference from when it is empty and is extremely stiff. If adjusted to match the real compression, the engines of the ini359 would end up kissing the ground. All I can do is make the suspension slightly softer.

I adjusted the ini350’s landing gear suspension by referring to the fenix320. After the adjustment, you can feel the aircraft’s weight and inertia much more clearly when braking to a stop.

By editing the Damping ratio, Max-to-static compression, Static compression, and vert_pos entries in flight_model.cfg, I can achieve a softer suspension rebound effect. However, I have not yet found which configuration file controls the suspension rebound speed and simulated inertia options. Here is the official Asobo development documentation for reference:

I can't find the location of the file. Searching didn't help either

inibuild will ban you on their discord for mentioning any of these obvious flaws. They're too high on copium to accept reality.

Incorrect FCU angles, wrong radome geometry, incorrect cabin window shades, flawed landing gear, a fundamentally broken belly model, beacon lights that pass through engine pylons and light up the entire wing in blatant violation of basic physics, and a HUD that is completely wrong and serves no real purpose.

When ini once again sells this kind of garbage for 80 dollars, I sincerely hope you’ll still be willing to pay for it.

Shush, they get so many basic stuff wrong it's hilarious the price they charge, yet people have to glaze them..

Can we use the 900 flight model file also for the ULR variant? If no, can you please provide one also for that variant? Thanks

Yes you can, they share the same cfg file.

    Please make for 2024 ~~~
I also saw discussions about the A350 landing gear suspension height issue on the iniBuilds Discord server, but as of version 1.1.7 on November 22, I still haven’t seen any updates to fix the A350’s landing gear suspension.

    Thanks for comment

Sorry, I’ve read through the MSFS 2024 developer documentation, but I still haven’t found the configuration file or method for adjusting the landing gear parameters. I’ll keep looking. Maybe ini will fix these issues in a future update.

I’m afraid I’m currently unable to create a version for 2024. I can no longer change an aircraft’s characteristics simply by tweaking numerical values in msfs2024. but I remember seeing a few months ago on iniBuilds’s Discord server that they had acknowledged feedback about the landing gear not matching real world behavior, so maybe iniBuilds will fix it.

Softer Landing Gear Suspension For iniBuilds A350-900/1000

This add-on modifies the landing gear suspension of the A350 by adjusting parameters in the flight_model.cfg file to achieve a softer rebound effect. Key attributes such as damping ratio and compression settings are tweaked to enhance landing performance. The add-on is designed to be compatible with both current and upcoming versions of Microsoft Flight Simulator. Installation involves copying the modified files into the appropriate aircraft folder.
