okoks Runway guard lights - Image 1

    Description

Please note that "Okokmodels" is not required for the addon to work.

This add-on introduces hand-placed Wigwag Lights for holding short points and Rapid exit taxiway indicator lights worldwide.

    Install Instructions

    1. Extract and paste all folders inside okoksWigwaglights.zip outside and into your community folder. (make sure that all the Caleb-airport-xxx-xxx) They are put in the community!
    2. Enjoy!

Also, please read the disc in its entirety!

The file caleb-airport-kdfw-dallas-ft-worth is needed for the addon to run. It is possible to have OKOK lights over other custom airports, but I would not recommend it. If you have scenery conflicts, you can disable/delete my airport.

If you know a way to change default assets globally, especially runway lights and ground textures, please DM me!

    Known issues.

It is important to note that some airports have missing assets or other issues. If you spot any, please call me out in the comments or DM me. I won't bite.

Taxiway Markings are based on satellite imagery and Chartfox and are not indicative of in-game or real-life conditions.

Roating beacon lights may fall out of sync. There's nothing I can do about that because of how Asobo implemented their rotating beacons

These models, which come with the add-on, are free to use and access with credit via the 2024 SDK, as long as you credit me. If you want to edit any of my models, import the GLTF file by using the MSFS Blender plugin. Most models should come with textures, but some may require manual texturing.

    Could you please add EFHK?

So I'm clear. This great mod will NOT work on 3rd party airports that use their OWN taxi lights, But, if they use ASOBO lighting, this mod should work for those third party sceneries?

Nice work. One thing and really not that important but to be consistent in your folder naming convention, caleb-airport-lga-la-guardia-airport should read caleb-airport-klga-la-guardia
    (the last -airport not needed)

and caleb-airport-kewr-newark-liberty-international-airport could be shortened to caleb-airport-kewr-newark-liberty (-international-airport not needed)

But great job putting all of the wigwags for all of these airports together!

Tried to download the latest version 1.97. Can't unzip the files ( error unzipping files) It seems KATL and KDTW have modlib.bgl files that winzip gets an error trying to extract. Are these the actual model libs for all the airports ? Is there(or can there be) a standalone file for the models and textures. Seems the uniModelib.bgl and textures are in the KDFW airport entry. IF we need to remove dfw due to scenery/airport conflicts, then the others will not work ?
Also, downloaded the model files (gltf/bin/xml texture) to build into my package. The build fails, there are bunch of png.xml files that fspackagetool doesn't like ( thinks they should have XML Headers)

For the first question, KATL and KDFW do not contain any models and can be deleted, and I think it's an issue with WinZip. KDFW hosts all the models, and if you delete it, the others will not work. However, if you want to use another scenery, I think you can open developer mode and use the package reorder tool (Google it) to put your other scenery on top of mine. And I'll look into the issue with the Okoko models. Thanks

    Thanks for this MOD.
Could you please tell me what the meaning is if those airports with the DOTS listed at the beginning of their name?

Thank you again for this MOD :-)

    okoks Runway guard lights

Calebs Wigwag Lights is an in-beta add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator that introduces handcrafted wigwag lights to various hold short points, primarily in the US. Featuring both elevated and dug-in models, this add-on aims to enhance realism by adding a previously absent feature from the base game. Please note that it may impact performance on lower-end systems and could interfere with other airport scenery that includes taxi lights. The add-on is a work in progress and may have unresolved issues, with users encouraged to report any problems encountered.
