    Please be aware! This livery pack will only work in MSFS 2024 with the stable version of the A380X.
    The native update pushed to the development version won't work. A conversion of this pack is planned on a later point.

    This is a repaint package for the FlyByWire A380X in colours of Emirates.

    All liveries included are available in 4K and 8K. I have uploaded the registrations in packs (A6-ED* + A6-EE* Fleet, A6-EO* + A6-EU* + A6-EV* Fleet)

    Installation:

    To reduce file sizes I created a not usable livery 'flybywire-a380-emirates-commons' storing all textures used on every livery of this package (metal fuselage parts, tail, engine, wings).

    Read the instruction below carefully as they slightly differ from normal Drag&Drop

    1: Extract the *.zip file to a temporary location, ie desktop
    2: Insert the folder 'flybywire-a380-emirates-commons' and at least one other registration of your liking into your community folder.
    3: Start MSFS, choose the installed livery and enjoy!

    Hello, I installed the Stable 8K version of the FlyByWire A380X for MSFS 2024, along with five liveries from the “FlyByWire A380X Emirates Complete Regular Fleet [8K]” package.

    I followed all the installation instructions carefully, but unfortunately the liveries do not appear in MSFS 2024.

    Could you please help me understand why they are not showing up?

    Thanks for your feedback. I won't touch any inibuilds aircraft anymore. Imo they are still unable to develop them properly so you don't need a NASA computer and the texture mapping has always unnecessary gaps making even simple liveries pretty hard to do. I am still disappointed by their update process on the A350. They broke all community made liveries here at least 2 or 3 times, and they don't listen to feedback there as well.

    Thats completely understandable! Now that the 380 released, I would have to say though the 380 is really well done, and performs really well. Significantly better than FBW both in system fidelity and performance. Getting 80-100fps in ini OMDB V2.

    Hope you will reconsider in the future! Hopefully they do similar upgrades to the 350 with the V2 version coming later this year

    I've downloaded the paintkit to see how they've done the fuselage uv map this time. And yeah, gaps between the four fuselage parts again like any other ini plane I've painted. That's not worth for me. Just for comparison with the PMDG 777 or the Fenix the side of the fuselage isn't split into mulitple parts. I can put the airline logo or lines and patterns onto it, maybe adjust colors or heights and it's done. With the A350 the fuselage has got a gap right behind the first door. So every airline logo needs to be aligned to counteract the gap(s), obviously takes a lot longer. No idea why they keep doing it like this, but that is what you get. Inis own liveries are made different, so (I guess) they don't really want to invest too much ressources into a paintkit for 3rd party liveries. Shifting my ressources to the PMDG 747 (they never disappoint on this regard) and potentially the Bluebird 757.

    Please remove compatibility for MSFS 2024 since this addon is not compatible with the native 2024 version of the FBW A380! I highly doubt at this stage anyone is flying the stable version as performance is so much better on the native, development version.

    It is still working in 24 with the stable version, so it is compatible with 24. And I put a big red text into the description, so people would know if the were going through there. If FBW is shifting the stable version to 24 native as well and I haven't made this pack compatible to this point, I remove the 2024 compatibility. Leonardos Maddog MD-80 anniversary series is also not native 24 but still working in 24.

    My point is that nobody uses the stable version due to the significant difference in performance, so putting it as "2024 compatible" is slightly misleading. While technically true, 99% of people flying the A380 in FS2024 wont be able to use this addon.

    How do you know nobody is using the stable version? I can't tell if people how download my FBW A380 use it in 24 stable, 20 stable/dev or not at all. I can only judge by the download rates they are still getting, that people are downloading it, what ever they do after it. You could also judge be either the release of the addon/the changelog/ the description if the addon is compatible with native 24. Feel free to report it, if you think it's missleading.

    I find the number of people complaining about the quality and compatibility here shocking. I can't comprehend the amount of time and effort you and other authors put into making countless liveries and then sharing them with us, for FREE. People's level of entitlement really does annoy me. "This thing you've created for us for free, at the expense of your own time and resources, doesn't quite meet my expectations - please do better next time". It's ungrateful and it's rude. Please stop it. Thank you alxcpt and all the other devs who make this MSFS community so good with no expectation of reward or recognition. Your efforts ARE appreciated.

    Thanks for kind words. Most people probably don't know how much time and effort went to packs like this, they see the result of the work, but not the work itself. Even setting up all the configs and folder structures for this one here took hours of highly concentrated work. The 'ungrateful' type of people have always been there and will be there, that doesn't bother me much anymore. Fs.to kind of provides the platform for it. Back in P3D/FSX ages you went to avsim.com, downloaded stuff but had no chance to interact with the creator. Seeing a lot of people downloading my stuff (even without commenting) makes me a lot happier. And especially this one with almost 40K downloads, that's just awesome.
