    Description

    This detailed livery for the 707-320C depicts John Travolta's 707-138B model with the early Qantas V-Jet font & logos.
    NOW UPDATED TO Version 2.3!   
    Texturing this aircraft has been a real challenge as there are some very awkward areas where distortion & bleeding occur plus mirroring.
    I have tried to reduce these faults & have spent many hours on this model to bring it to you as acurately as possible!

    I have fond memories of the Qantas 707 V-Jets flying into NZCH in the 1960's.
    I remember a large scale model of the Qantas V-Jet on display inside the old NZCH terminal with a cutaway at the side so you could see inside the cabin & seating! Very cool for a young lad to see! 

    Installation: Unzip the file in your community folder
    (As with any new update please delete the old version first before installing the updated version)

    Please note: This is an updated new version 2.3
    This will be currently be about as far as I can take this model, please see the update 2.3 notes!
    If the model is updated & textures improved I will look at further updates!

    Definitely one of the better made and accurate 707 liveries on the site, if not the best. Despite it having a notoriously difficult model to work with, you've done a really good job and I appreciate the time you've put in to improve it. Cheers!

    As mentioned getting the texture files right has been a real challenge with this model, this has taken a lot of time & perseverance!

    Best to request your livery on Flightsim.to. This one has taken me a month so far to get to this stage, texturing is difficult on this model. Thanks for your reply & presume you are enjoying 'Jett Clipper Ella' :-)

    Thank you for this livery! I've never flown a Qantas flight before, but now I've finished qfa757 Sydney-London, and it was really phenomenal. What a route! hmu should you want to take on a livery commission for Air Afrique.

    Yep, I too remember the Qantas 707's, TEAL DC-8's and Electra's that used to fly into CHCH back in the late 60's, early 70's NAC days. Back in the day when Operation Deep Freeze used to also fly in the old Globemasters etc & when you would able to veiw from the top of the overseas & domestic terminals. Still remember the 748's & DC-3's of Mt Cook Airlines, F-27's & Viscounts with NAC. Thanks heaps for this paint job, I live in Aussie now and been simming since the 1st MSFS but nowdays, we are just so spoilt. Do all my flying now in VR & being doing so for a number of years, just need to convince my wife that a motion rig would be a great 64th Birday present, but somehow I think all I'm getting is MSFS2024, nevermind, thers still next year ...... Happy Flying & once again many thanks, Al

    Thanks for your comments, nice to touch base with someone who remembers NZCH in its early days too! My airline experience started in 1975 in CHC , as Flight Steward on the HS-748's for Mt Cook Airlines!
