    [2020] Fenix A320 V2 [CFM/IAE] | All separate Texture files | Ready to paint/edit - Image 1

    Description

    Hello Simmers,

some grass has grown over the time and its time to update the paintkit. Now it includes a simple guide for beginners and tips how to master your first livery on basic level. I made the effort to create subfolders with dedicated textures you can use for your repaint, and chose what you need for making your livery look alike the real one. What is included now:

    • Blender file in 8K (ready to paint)
    • CFM engine textures in 4K with base color, details, sun faded and weathering texures
    • IAE engine cowling textures in 4K with base color, sun faded and weathering textures
    • Base texture folder "fnx-aircraft-A320-V2-IAE" with layoutgenerator exe
    • Optional cabin textures (FAP, SELCAL plate, Safetycard etc.) with placement guide for reference
    • Tail textures in 8K with static wicks, weathering textures
    • V1 weathering textures for FUSE1, FUSE2, FUSE 3
    • Wingtip base and weathering textures
    • Wing decal files and UV map for reference to place underwing registration
    • Cockpit window raccoon mask texture
    • Fenix Repaint Guide PDF

Feel free to report errors, questions or add-on's you wish to have for the file.

For thumbnail generating I vouch for this tool: https://de.flightsiThm.to/file/1197/default-thumbnail-generator

    Enjoy,
    Carmelo

How do I save it to show as CFM. Yes I seen the comment to change to CFM in the blender and I did that but then as what file do I save it as as there is no CFM file to be overwritten. Do I need to amend jayson file or something as well?

You can name it what you want i.e CFM.png and then save it...the standard name is A320_CFM_COWLING in every other Fenix livery (just check any CFM livery you have installed in the community folder)

I must be doing something wrong, I'm getting the pink checker board on the wings, horizontal stab and different smaller places on the fuselage. Any ideas? Edit: Ok, I saw the post below me from a week ago. Their pic looks like mine with the pink textures. The reply said decals were missing. I see no decal files in with all the other .dds files. I do see another folder with wing.png's. Am I supposed to covert them and copy it over to the files with the rest of the .dds files? If so, how do I do that? I don't see anything about that in your .pdf. Thank you for any help.

Looks like I have the pink textures problem figured out. If you don't have any decal files to use in the textures folder, you have to edit the layout.json file by deleting the reference pathways for any decal files. After I did that, the sim used what default is provided somewhere. Now the pink textures are gone.

Yes exactly, if you add or remove new texture files then you need to update the json files

Looks like your decals file is missing. Did you add or remove files to the livery folder?

Hey! I am a 2024 player (but also have 2020). If I got my custom livery to work in 2020, can I transfer it to 2024? There is a YouTube video telling people how to transfer their custom fenix a320 liveries from 2020 to 24!

Well you can use the converter but better save PNGs to ktx2 directly to not lose quality

Thank you for this! But does this also work for creating a 2024 livery?

You need to deselect "mirroring" under "tools", then scroll down to "symmetrie" and "x-axis" tick off

Do you have a CFM paintkit by any chance?

It includes the CFM as well, just deactivate IAE and activate CFM like I circled in the screenshot...then save as CFM (top left)

Hard livery but very cool one! Could you do 9M-AFF, the Persona 5 Livery for AirAsia? I think some people have posted some useful resources in the Fenix Discord but nothing has been made yet.
