Just west of the village of Stehekin, at the head of Lake Chelan, Stehekin State Airport provides access to some of the most awesome scenery in Washington. (WSDOT)
Stehekin State Airport is all about the nature and sights around the area. You won't find fancy structures, large marinas or an array of people camping side of the runway. This is a place where you come in (S10 Chelan is quite close and a very scenic trip), land your plane in the short and tricky airport, get out of your plane and go enjoy nature.
Sceneries like this are more about recovering vegetation in the airport area, for some reason MSFS gets confused with certain ground textures and skips them to place trees or vegetation. I have fixed the area around the airport.
The default runway was very generous as long as length and width are concerned. I restored them with airnav+wsdot data.
Enjoy the sights, they really deserve a visit.

This scenery is great! I released a short bush trip, more accurately a recreation of an old FSX mission called Resort Supply that takes place in this area, including a landing at this airport so that your co-pilot can ferry an abandoned aircraft back to base. I linked to this scenery in the description, recommending that people who play my mission also download your scenery, because I think it enhances the experience. Also, my testing has shown that it works great with Sim Update 5.

Nice job! I just got back from visiting Stehekin today (via boat), so I decided to fly the route from 6S9 to S10, and had your airports installed. The scenery was very close to reality (except of course MSFS didn't acknowledge the areas where forest fires had wiped out the trees), and S10 was a nice a recreation of the airport, which we drove up to the other day. Thanks for adding better airports to this beautiful area!
If you ever update this airport, it'd be cool to see the dock in Stehekin where the Lady of the Lake brings in tourists and residents, since that's how most people will get to the area in real life! :)

I always wanted to have more detail around Stehekin as the Cascades area are really nice and they deserve a bit more attention ;)

Sure! Here's the docks on Google Maps (and the Lady of the Lake ferry is even docked there in the Google Maps photo):
The dock is actually there in MSFS, it's just that it's a flat image buried underwater like most docks in the sim.

That's also where Chelan Seaplanes docks, so it'd be fun to have the docks there for seaplane flights into the area. Here's a shot of a Beaver floatplane pulling up to the docks:

There was no floatplane there when we visited, but there was an orange windsock on the dock.
Thanks again for all the great sceneries! If you could add the dock not just for scenery, but for floatplane use, that would be awesome. Maybe add a water runway to the airport? If you search "Stehekin floatplane" and "Stehekin seaplane" on YouTube there's some additional footage.
