    Asobo ATR VC Light Mod

    Initial MFS2024 version added

    Readjust dome and storm lights (dome lights more prominent)
    Landing light angle fixed and now useful, no longer pointing down
    Volumetric red beacons
    Strobes changed to omni-direction light source to overcome poor placement on wings

    Eliminated bright opaque side windows by preventing light effects from reaching the windows
    Adjusted spot light reach

    Fixes blindingly bright panel flood lights for the ATR, panel flood lights activated using the overhead "Storm" light switch.  
    Also tweaked the external strobes to make them a little more stronger.

    Since Asobo encrypted the systems.cfg file for the ATR, only the .fx file mods are possible to fix the poor lighting implementation.

    Installation
    Delete the old version
    Place the xatr_lights_mfs2020 folder in the MSFS2020\Community folder
    Place the xatr_lights_mfs2024 folder in the MSFS2024\Community folder

    Hello, this mod is amazing and all but i can't seem to get any of the cockpit lights such as *storms* to work, the beacons and other lights work perfectlly but the cocpit lights just wont turn on, any idea on how to fix?

    How to dim the panel flood lights? I switch storm to ON and they are full bright.

    unfortunately, there is no dimming function assigned to the panel floods. that's something the developer has to implement.

    Loved it. It however misses the Beacon and wing lights reflection on the wing when viewed from the cabin and exterior.(At night,the wings look too dark without any lights on it )Could you try adding those reflection effects in the next update?

    some models have wing lights, some don't. a mod cannot add lights due to files being encrypted.

    Awesome addon. Really needed to fly at night! Can you please "animate" the flood light and the dome light for taxi or pre/afte flight procedures?

    yes, updated for the new models.
    as an aside, can't believe they didn't bother fixing the milky front side window glass. (this was fixed by v2.0+ of this mod)

    if you have another light mod for the atr in your community lib, it may interfere with this mod.
