    Welcome to Tartu Lennujaam / Tartu Airport / EETU!

    Description:
    Tartu airport (EST: Taru Lennujaam), also called Ülenurme Airport because it is located in Ülenurme village, 5.9 nautical miles (10.9 km; 6.8 mi) southwest of Tartu, the second largest city in Estonia. The airport was opened on 15 May 1946. A new terminal building was built in 1981, and the runway and taxiway were also upgraded then. Since 2005, the airport has been operated by Tallinn Airport Ltd. In 2009, the runway was lengthened to 1,799 m, terminal building was also upgraded. This is a home airport for Estonian Aviation Academy (Eesti Lennuakadeemia) located nearby. Airport mainly operates charter flights, there are no regular commercial passengers flights to/from Tartu. Finnair was the last airline to operate flights to/from Tartu. Tartu's city government in February 2023 said it was aiming to find an airline to operate flights to Helsinki from autumn 2023 in return for a subsidy.

    Special note:

    This scenery was originally intended to be payware but was decided to be made free. Many hours was spent to create it with a lot of love and detail. Therefore, if you will enjoy it, any coin would be really appreciated :) Please also contact me if you'll find any problems/bugs.

    Just downloaded, beautiful place, beautiful airport, Everything is working fine, but I spawned with Flybywire A320N neo, and it didn't spawn the pushback tug, GPU vehicle and stairs way. But beautiful work! Thanks!

    Regarding A320, use parking #4 and just exit forward on your own (Check the yellow line)

    Great thanks. Yesterday had IRL flight from Tartu to Helsinki, Finnair ATR-72-500. Very close to the real thing. Also thanks for the recognizable landmarks in Tartu city, been there, seen those. Also I recommend to visit Tartu, especially now as it is a n European cultural capital, and a little cheaper hotels and restaurants vs. Tallinn.

    If you have pland for development, then city of Tarto would benefit from some tree removals (from Raekoda plats etc.) and perhaps some more major landmarks like Estonian National Museum (not that many polygons needed there :-) )

    What a file size for this small Airport. Anyhow, in future this will not count anymore ;-)

    So havwe many thanks from Warstein in Germany to design this wonderfull and very detailed place to fly :-)

    super im proud as Estonian ,Tartu hometown and this airport in my opinon is unique , super modern now and soon Finnair start flying again :) , big thanks building this nice scenery and airport :)
