    Ves' Reshade Preset - Image 1

    Description

    This preset is designed for MSFS steam edition. I know that the installation process for the steam edition is much simpler than the miscrosoft store edition. This preset may work with the microsoft store version but i am not entirely sure. The installation process below is designed for the steam version.

    Install Reshade here: https://reshade.me/

    • Drag and drop the config file in your main MSFS folder (not community) 
    • Install reshade and run the .exe
    • Follow the steps on the screen (select msfs.exe)
    • The reshade installer should ask you to select a preset to install. Click on browse at the bottom right of the screen and navigate to
    • where you dropped off the preset config then select. 
    • Click on next. On the 'select effects packages to install' screen you can either click on next or select any packages you would like to install. 
    • Finish and exit the program. 

    To open the menu in game press the 'HOME' key on your keyboard by default. 

    There are many tutorials on youtube if you are struggling to install. You do not need to search for MSFS specific tutorials too!

    Note: The preset may look different depending on which monitor you are using, your monitor settings and your nvidia colour settings in the control panel etc. I am using windows night light! I have this setting constantly turned on at 33% intensity, please do keep that in mind.

    After 2 years of going through multiple presets, making my own, trying out other shaders, this is still what I come back to after hours of tweaking, even after switching to MSFS 2024. Phenomenal. Withstood the test of time for me.

    how can we run reshade if we have no access to the directory where the msfs2020.exe is located?

    My sim doesn't look like the pictures. I installed the preset correctly however, the color doesn't look the same. I use 90% vibrance in Nvidia Control Panel, is there anything else I should change with monitor settings?

    I installed it but when it loads it says "There were errors loading some effects. Check the log for more details." Should all the checkboxes be checked? because only half of them are.

    Hey, when running the Reshade installer, it will ask you to select a preset so that it can choose which effects to install.

    Make sure you select my one or any other preset you are willing to use and it will check all boxes required.

    Hello, you could try to use it on the MS Store version, as long as you can see MSFS on the reshade preset you should be ok.

    However, i am on steam so i'm not too sure if that is the case or not, let me know! Thanks

    Hey I just found this, and downloaded it, I installed reshade from the website but, there was no effect after all, I mean I can't even press home button to show up the reshade menu, any tips? do I need to create bat file to run msfs with this ?

    Ok, i am not too sure how it works on the MS store version. You could give it a go. If you can see the MSFS.exe on the reshade installer you should be good to go.
