Description
Tigerair Taiwan is a low-cost airline (LCC) headquartered at Taoyuan International Airport.
It is a joint venture between China Airlines Group and LCC Holdings.
Before 2016, China Airlines held an 80% stake, while LCC Holdings and Mandarin Airlines each held a 10% stake. [2] In 2017,
Following the merger of Tigerair Singapore with Scoot, CAPA reported that China Airlines had acquired a 10% stake in LCC Holdings,
making China Airlines and its subsidiary Mandarin Airlines co-owners of the airline.
It is the only LCC in Taiwan after the collapse of TransAsia Airways and Vian Air in 2016, and the only one to retain the Tigerair brand.
Tigerair Australia and other airlines ceased operations at the end of 2020.
