    Harare International Scenery improvements (FVHA)

    This is a updated version for Harare Intl. Taxiways , parkings and gates aded. Extra scenery aded.

    Harare is the capital of Zimbabwe. On the edge of landscaped Harare Gardens, the National Gallery of Zimbabwe has a large collection of African contemporary art and traditional pieces like baskets, textiles, jewelry and musical instruments. The unusual granite formation Epworth Balancing Rocks is southeast of the city.

    How to install :

    Unzip and place in your community folder

    Update 3.0 - Just reworked the entire airport and added new gates ,lights and scenery objects. I fixed the runways and taxiways. Hopefully she is good to go now !

    Double runways wrong ICAO code and I have no clue what enhances this scenery...

    This airport has a lot of bugs. AI will not fly to it. The airport (default) was not situated correctly. There was issues with the ICAO codes and runways. I have done what I could here. With 2024 out now we can only hope these issues are fixed . I do not have a double runway in my sim.

    Very often, PAPPI/VASI are not coincident with the ILS GP. 9

    From the FAA AIM (section 2-1-2(b) Visual Glideslope Indicators): PAPI angles are based on obstruction clearance +/- 10 degrees from the runway centerline, up to 4 miles from the threshold. The ILS provides for obstruction clearance in a 3-6 degree angle on a 3 degree glide path. Therefore, if there are obstructions in the PAPI clearance area (e.g. a tower off to the side of the rwy) that don't exist in the narrower ILS clearance area, the PAPI will have to be a steeper angle.

    Great Idea and love the details, sadly has the wrong airport code (FVHA instead of FVRG) therefore causing duplicate runways with the base sim and Navigraph, making it unusable. Usually fixable by setting the content priority of the scenery higher - not in this case, as the airport is considered another one due to the wrong code, both runways / airports continue to exist on top of each other :/

    This airport in real life has new ICAO code of FVRG.

    It makes it weird, because flight planning tool uses FVRG, but in sim there is FVHA and there are no procedures, only visual approaches. Could you fix it somehow please?

    Hi. This scenery is a HUGE improvement over the original. Many thanks!! Just tried doing a flight from here with BeyondATC (BATC). BATC doesn't recognize that there is parking /gates at this airport even though parking is evident in the setup screen. Could this be because you have the scenery icao set to FVHA? If set to current ICAO FVRG, would that help?

    In the Simulator the Airport seems to have an ICAO code of FVHA and FVRG as well. IRL the code switched from FVHA to FVRG so the Sim might be loading two airports at the same location due to the Airport Codes.

    I'm wondering the same. I have duplicate runways with this installed. Updating this to use the new ICAO code would probably fix the issue.

    Unfortunately, I am shown 2 runways one above the other, which overlap. So the scenery is unusable for me. What can I do?

    This is just a scenery improvement at Harare Intl Airport. I have not touched the runways or taxi paths. I have just added scenery to the default airport. I have also added night lighting to improve the realism. Harare is the capital of Zimbabwe.
