Volotea Airlines is a Barcelona-based airline founded in 2011 by Carlos Muñoz and Lázaro Ros. They commenced operations with their first flight on April 5, 2012. Their Airbus fleet consists of a total of 41 Airbus aircraft A319s and A320s, with CFM International CFM56-5B, 156 seats and a range of 6900km without refuelling. Their fleet is based in Verona (Italy), Nantes and Toulouse (France), and operates from 18 bases: Asturias, Athens, Bilbao, Bordeaux, Cagliari, Hamburg, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes, Naples, Olbia, Palermo, Strasbourg, Toulouse, Venice and Verona. They now have just inaugurated a new base: Lourdes!

Volotea, boast that all their Airbus fleet have an on-board entertainment service, with a wide range of movies, series, TV shows, newspapers, magazines, music and content for everyone, even the children. In addition, they have LED lights that represent energy savings and maintenance costs.

Unlike other companies, they also have ample reclining seats, arranged in rows 5% wider than the average of European companies, which allows their passengers to enjoy the flight in a more comfortable and relaxed way.
