Description
Goodspeed Airport (42B) is a small airport located in East Haddam, CT, right on the Connecticut river. 42B has a 2100' runway with a bridge on one end, and hills on the other. It also has a longer water runway on the river, with a launch for access. Recently under new ownership the airport is now home to the occasional craft fair / holiday festival. Its also the location where Learn 2 Fly CT does Tailwheel & Seaplane training out of! It's 5 miles east of Chester Airport (KSNC) I also have a more detailed version of Chester with some awesome true-to-life elevation.

Added open hangars.
Trimmed the trees in the area.
custom 3-D building with PBR from Trustdesa.
Added a seaplane launch.
Got rid of windsock in middle of grass strip
Added boats on the other side of the river.
Improved ground textures.
Added fence.
Some buildings in the town coming soon.

Just updated this (1/19/23) I'm glad you are dedicated to making improvements to this airport!!! Out of the two versions of this airport that are available, I find yours to be closest on authenticity! outside of the matrix, I fly this airport all the time in my super cub, and its where I get my maintenance done. great Job!

Used to Go here w "photo Buddies" on Daytrips for Photography !! I Worked as a Security Gaurd on the Graveyard Shift Back in the 80's for the Steamboats across the River,...lol. Thankyou for this Update, its Nice Having You Articulate these Ct. Airports !! Im Looking forward to Flying The Cessna Float plane From Here, as well as My KODIAK 100 Aircraft !! Keep up the Good work !! 5 Stars !!

Thanks for clearing up those pesky trees on final! I am however unable to get the powerlines upriver to show up. Are those part of a separate addon? I have VFR Region 2 installed. Finally, I have a runway light right in the middle of the turn around at runway 32 getting in the way. Thanks again!

Im not sure how to get rid of that runway light unfortunately, also the powerlines are apart of a freeware addon i think its called solar panels and powerlines or something

Sweet. I love going out to Eagle Landing and watching the planes and boats. I used to work at Camalot Crusies and on the Becky Thatcher
Love someone to make Gillet's Castle and fix the railroad bridge in Old Saybrook. Also the ferry crossing would be also awesome.
Looking forward to seeing the Gelston House and who knows, maybe the tiny school house.

I am glad you are working on this. I was going to do the same with real photos texture in what spare time I have over the winter. I actually teach/fly out of here. I live across the river from here as well. Nice work.

BIG UPDATE. Fixed runway elevation! (it was pretty bad before) Added red hangar from Trustdesa. slight improvement to ground textures, added a puddle and small river.

Chester Airport KSNC
Chester Airport is an iconic Connecticut strip. It's relatively short but some twin engine airplanes do operate out of here. What makes this airport so fun in my opinion is the runway slope and how its on a hill. Its located about 5 miles west of Goodspeed. (42B) I also have a scenery available for goodspeed!
