Description
This small mod adds photogrammetry buildings around the airport perimeter to add a bit more realism whilst taking-off, landing and taxing.
An added bonus is the inclusion of a “representative” HS Trident (G-ARPP) which used to sit alongside the taxiway back in the 80’s and 90’s. (I may at some point attempt to change the textures to better represent the aircraft as it was then)
I would like to extend my thanks to ChicoMick who kindly sent me the source files for his wonderful Duxford BEA HS Trident and allowing me to make a couple of changes to it by changing the registration number and removing the “Trident Two” markings as G-ARPP was a Trident 1C.
This model is stand-alone you do not have to have ChicoMick’s EGSU Duxford mods installed although I would strongly recommend installing them if you have not done so already because the scenery is amazing.
This mod contains the following:
· The aforementioned Trident static model
· Buildings along the Walkinshaw Road up to East Yonderton Farm
Please note if you are using the UK2000 Glasgow airport scenery a building will be visible within the East Yonderton Farm photogrammetry buildings (I cannot remove it)
· Inchinnan Business Park
· Industrial area at the end of Wright Street (Doosan Babcock, Westway etc.)
· Boats around the Inchinnan Cruising Club
· Normandy Hotel
· White Cart Bridge
· Blythswood Retail Park
· Removal of green roofed building over Renfrew Football Club pitch
· Night-lighting
Please note you may experience a small decrease in FPS when flying over this scenery as I do not use the Earth2MSFS method as I dislike the rectangular tiles that stand out like a sore thumb, I am not knocking those who use this method, I simply prefer to take buildings or groups of buildings and blend them into the existing scenery.
Installation: extract all files into your Community folder.
All packages have had their modelLib.BGL files renamed therefore should not conflict with the sim.

Does this actually improve the airport? I saw another package on here called glasgow improvement?

Hi
That's a fair question to ask but I would point out that the improvements mod you are referring to is improvements to the default airport, whereas my mod is (in my humble option) an improvement on the surrounding area.
When taxing (you see the Doosan Babcock and Westway buildings), you also see the building clusters along the Walkinshaw Road if you park at the Glasgow Flying Club.
When you approach for rwy 23 you see the Inchinnan cruising club boats, the Normandy Hotel and the White Cart Bridge, oh yes and you see the Blythswood retail park.
When you do a circuit you fly over the Inchinnan Business Park.
If you know the area then you can see the improvement that I set out to provide.

Great add-on, no fps hit for me even on my old PC. I use the other Glasgow add-on (not UK2000) sadly your Trident clashes with theres, any way around it as yours is much better. Thanks
