Description
One of the most challenging and rewarding landing STOL strips at 4500 feet you will try, I made this for myself but I enjoyed it so much and I've decided to share it with the community. Welcome to the Eagle Peak STOL Airport, resorts, and restaurants. Just minutes by car from MT. Washington State Park, a half an hour from North Conway, the airport is a challenge to land and only experienced pilots should try.
Get ready to land on runway 12 (unmarked) and touch down on the ground on the red "land" sign or risk losing your landing gear! The runway is 400m long and slopes up to 30 degrees inclination after the initial landing zone, just keep enough speed to get to the top and then be prepared to stop.
The Aiport offers 7 spots for you and your friends along with a very exciting "roller coaster" departure (make sure you have full power before letting off of your brakes or you will hit the sand patch at the end (beats crashing the trees below). Enjoy a very beautiful approach through the mountains on your way to land, but keep your chill, as I said, this runway is reserved for masters only.
For an extra bit of challenge, fly at night, rain or snow, and let me know how you go.
I've also added a cool helipad (parking 12) so you can try your mountain top landing and take off.
Good for Role Playing if you are into that.
Note: I only used assets from the base game. If you see any issues please let me know I will try my best to fix them. In the future, I will see about adding AI ATC to it and AI Traffic
Also, I spent a couple of days working on this project so don't upload anywhere else, if you had a blast using this scenery and would like to tip me (toward my PP classes) I would appreciate it, not necessary since this mod is absolutely free though.
Enjoy.

Will this work with Sim Update 9? I'm not brave enough to try my STOL skills but I'd love to try my VTOL skills on that helipad with the H145!

IT should work fine. If you run into any issues let me know! Check out MT Washington nearby, I've also added a landing pad there :D

This is crazy amazing!! I've been flying in and out of this airport the entire morning in a Savage Cub! Now the only thing that I cant figure..... Is this a totally fake airport? I have found a ridge line that looks similar in google maps, but no dice on an actual physical location. If its not real, then your plans have been approved by the virtual zoning commission!! Go make it PLEASE!!

I don't think we will ever see something like this in real life unless it is a new attraction at Universal Studios lol

It's like a roller coaster. When I took off it tended to go a bit to the left but managed to control it, maybe was the wind. I landed by a bit of the runway too I think it is no good idea to fly live weather and then it is impossible to climb it but it was fun

Great mod! Love to fly air taxi flights from Portland. Only issue is that the UNICOM freq is the same as the ATIS for another airport in range

How can I change that? I will try to look into it. Learning as we go!

Correct me if I am wrong, I think that is because the airport as of now has no ATC logic and is considered an uncontrolled airport by the game so it uses a general frequency in the area where other uncontrolled airports so when you select your nearest airport in your ATC window all communication will be made to that frequency using the airport ICAO designation.

Should be in the project's objects.xml file, inside the
If you're using ADE2020 then it should be a bit easier - open the project, go to lists on the toolbar, then comms. Has the ability inside there to add ATC frequencies

Thanks for that! I will most certainly look at the info and links!

Added 3D People from Dave's 3D people library (optional) to make it feel a bit more alive. Fixed the Helipad. It should work now. - Let me know if the windsock is bothering you and I might move it somewhere else. Scattered a few extra props around, while keeping the fps in check. Added a temporary Mt. Washington peak building and parking lot and a Helipad. Any suggestions to make this better let me know in the comments
