Thank you very much for downloading my Salamander/Volksjäger Heinkel He-162 Pack 1 for MSFS2020.

After unzipping the archive, please put the included folder "beekay-aircraft-Heinkel-He162" into your Community folder.
All is still WIP and only Version V 0.9h.
This is a native Project. No port over from other simulators.

Note: My Salamander/Volksjäger Heinkel He-162 Pack 1 can only be used as freeware.
By no means it can be included in packs which are sold without my written acceptance.
The pack is exclusive on FlightSim.to and no other WebSites are allowed.

can you make this not a rar file because I feel like rar files don't show up in the flight sim

rar files are compressed you always unzip them....... A compressed file wont work if you just drop it in the community folder

Decompress the file just like you would would any zipped file you download from here. If your decompression app doesn't decompress a rar file as easily as it decompresses a zip file, then I recommend finding another decompression app. My personal recommendation would be Winrar, which decompresses and compresses more or less all the main compression types. Just locate Winrar online, download, install, then try again and I assure you, it works. It's called Winrar after all.

The throttle does not work with my joystick i have to use a controller to make it work but amazing aircraft otherwise

Unfortunately, I am now also experiencing my HOTAS throttle axis not being able to control the throttle, so the throttle is stuck at idle. It still works correctly with all of my other planes.
I do know that it worked correctly with the He-162 a month or two ago, so maybe a game update has broken it?

Hi draftingscotch,
discovering the He-162 from BK after having enjoyed his Japanese packages, I have had the same problem as you with my Thrusmaster HOTAS and solved it by assigning MSFS "Throttle1 axis" to my TM throttle instead of the global MSFS "Throttle axis". Hope it will solve your issue.
Otherwise on my side I have an issue with the landing gear whose animation doesn't work even if the gear lever is responding correctly and the gear retraction apparently happened as I can reach 700 km/h.
An issue created by the last SU ? (NB: I fly in VR with an HP Reverb G2)

After some trials with version 0.9c where the gear retracts perfectly, I have understood my stupid mistake: in version 0.9h, the engine is now so powerful that, if you take off with full throttle, you quickly overspeed the limit of proper gear retraction ! When retracting the gear immediately when the wheels leave the ground, it works ...
Nevertheless the plane seems now a bit overpowered at take-off if full throttle is used (it accelerates faster than the Aeromacchi MB-339 !) but effectively fly more realisticly when in the air (with 0.9c I was limited to a max. horzontal speed of 400 km/h, not realistic)
Without documentation on my side, difficult to know to which extent my poor experience of this early machine is right or wrong. In any case, with care on the throttle (like the real one ?), it is a joy to fly ! Thanks BeeKay !

Really incredible aircraft. Well done.
However, I have the same problem like some other users have reported: I can't get the throttle to work with my Thrustmaster HOTAS. It works well with the msfs standard planes, but not with this incredible plane...
Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Really good Model-Cockpit nearly every button (think all actually) works, flight model is good, only hiccup i found which i thought was funny is if your midflight and turn batterymaster off chocks will appear infront of the wheels and a ladder to the canopy.
