    Description

    This scenery replaces most of the buildings and adds static planes, fence and night lighting.There are no custom buildings in this scenery. It uses only buildings currently available in the SDK.

    Version 1.3 changes the runway and taxiway textures to give a more worn-out look, and fixes some terrain problems around the airport due to a recent mesh change in the sim.

    Installation instructions:
    Please remove the previous version of this airport, then unzip and copy "Airport CAP3 Sechelt-v1.3" folder in your MSFS Community folder.

    Thanks so much for your work on these BC airfields, I can't fly without them!


    I think this may be an issue that has come up since the release of the Canada World Update but I am now getting 2 windsocks side by side at each end of the runway at CAP3, also they are both pointing different directions. Might be something to do with an exclusion for the default scenery no longer working since the update. Not sure how easy a fix it is but thought I'd let you know, thanks again for your work.

    Hello, thank you for the nice comment! Unfortunately I had to stop working on updating the airports due to the continuous changes in the SDKs, and due to the platform's instability. Right now I can't even start the sim due to CTDs.

    I discovered this beautiful challenging field in a lovely rainy afternoon wandering northwest bound from Seattle area...I wish one could implement the worn real life runway with all the cracks and patches, that would be awesome.

    Hello, I tried different textures for the runway and taxiways but none of them gave any improvement. The textures with cracked asphalt are so over the top that it removes any realism from the scenery.

    Hello, I managed to change the runway and taxiway textures and gave the airport the more worn-out look that it has in reality. Please try this new version and let me know what you think.

    Looks great, no idea if its the airport or the sim but when I taxi to the active runway which was 29 it set a course to runway 11 with the taxi ribbon. Hope this can be fixed ???

    Hello, unfortunately that comes from the sim and there is not much I can do about it in the scenery. I checked and made sure that the runway is correctly defined for the airport.

    Enjoy! I hope you'll have a lot of fun. Keep in mind that Sechelt airport is difficult even in clear weather, so it will probably be a nice challenge tomorrow.

    I stay there and have a look on your landings. Don´t make anything broken on PropellerBC´s brand new Sechelt airport.
