    Description

    Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport is a general aviation airport in Queensbury, New York.

    KGFL is located just below the Adirondack Park. Depart the airport to the north and follow beautiful Lake George along the eastern side of New York.

    10/1/2022:
    - Rebuilt with latest SDK/SU

    12/6 Update:
    - Added a custom model for the Queensbury Water Tower. If you're taking off runway 19 you'll see it on your left.

    11/28 Update:
    - Fixed parking spot orientation
    - Fixed runway spawn positions
    - Added hand-placed taxiway lighting
    - Rebuilt on latest SDK (0.8)

    Changes:
    - Added missing buildings
    - Fixed overlapping distance markers on the runways
    - Fixed placing of beacon tower
    - Redrew all taxiways

    TODO:
    - Add paved taxiway markers at hold short lines
    - Custom building models

    Great scenery! Hoping for an update for FS2020 SU16...default buildings on top of custom buildings.

    Big improvement over the stock airport. At the runway crossing there a lot of taxiway signs that look as if they need still to be placed at the right spot.

    I started my private pilot training at KGFL 30 years ago. So I like your add on and use it often. I notice the airport beacon does not light up but it does in the stock KGFL.

    Thanks for adding KGFL. I have flown into there many times, one of my favorite airports. Congrats on starting flight training.

    KGFL causes the sim to CTD when loading at airports on the latest version of MSFS

    Also needs proper windsock placement (43°20'27.7"N 73°36'24.8"W as spotted on Google Maps after referencing the APD) and I didn't leave specific notes when I reviewed this airport but I did notice the slope/approach lighting was not correct as well. Can go back for another look to offer additional details if you're not sure what I'm talking about here

    Thanks for pointing those out!! I just started flight training out of KGFL so I'll definitely be improving it over time :)

    For the approach/slope lighting do you mean the PAPI lights? I lined them up with the spots I saw them on Google Maps. If you mean the ILS lights for runway 1: I don't think I have fine-grained control over the placement of those. I can only set the number of lights and distance apart. I'll take another peek at all that soon though :)

    yea I checked the original before looking at your update and it was missing the PAPI Rwy1 and had VASI for Rwy19 but you did fix both so good stuff
