Leicester Aeroclub is a very busy GA airfield just East of Leicester City centre. Located in the beautiful East Midlands countryside, it's an exciting time for the Aeroclub which is seeing something of a revival in interest, especially from the younger generation and students from the local universities. This has led to procurement of a new aircraft to ease the jam packed training schedule. There's around 8 aircraft owned by the Aeroclub, along with a host of varied privately owned aircraft in the hangars, and plenty of traffic on a daily basis
This project started out as me (with zero experience doing this type of thing) just wanting to improve the default airfield as I begin my PPL journey, but over time and with some help from Skell300, we've made this mod reflect the true to life airfield, with a touch of artistic license when required.
You need the fantastic packs below to see all the scenery in this update, but it's well worth the download otherwise you'll be missing important elements of the scenery

- Corrected in the elevation issue from the earlier version today. Runways are now flush with the rest of the airport (as per real life)

Hi all,
Checking in, looks like I'll be doing some simming this year as I need the practice before I get back into my real life lessons once summer arrives.
There's now a payware version of the airport which I'll also be checking out (available on simmarket). Unfortunately I still don't have the source files to hand, but may link in with Skell to see what's available.

Hi folks.
Real life took over in the end, and I recently sold my gaming PC to fund some other things in life. This also means that I have lost the base / source files for this airport :( so it truly is the end of the line. It’s entirely possible to further modify the airport locally in the editor, and I encourage this.

Hi all
I worked with plaidtripod on this project and am sad he's unable to continue. I have the source files but unfortunately not the most up-to-date (he's tinkered with levels, etc since).
I will have a look at where things are up to and am happy to maintain the project if all looks OK.

Hi folks,
Apologies for the lack of updates (Ezwingman - I didn't get a chance to move the cones!). New job and real life flying training has been taking priority, and I've been on the sim less and less until I'm 100% accustomed with the 152 in real life to avoid any bad habits crossing over.
I will tend to the airport in the coming weeks with some further changes.

Another good update! nice touch with the ATC tower and the good inclusion of some static objects outside of separate libraries. Its challenging on the FPS but not to any detriment of the immersive experience. |Here's another short video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07fsEegZHQk

Hi, (again).
I flew in here yesterday and it felt very real.
Just one request. I taxied from the large hangar to the front of the silver hangar with the open doors. The traffic cones to split the cars from the planes, restrict the manouvering to and into that silver hangar.
I know I can (and did) just run through them, but it would be nice not to have to.
Hope it's not too much trouble, and thanks for such a great airport.

Hello again. Sure thing, will take a look at this later. As I’ve been progressing my real life training at the airfield, I’ve noticed more and more subtle differences (ie the taxiway is wider in real life vs the sim), over time I’ll slowly make these changes. Will try to get the cones fixed for later today
