Description
Saint-Jean-d'Arves Airstrip for MSFS
(aslo known as Pré Vernay)
LFTU in MSFS but known as LF7331
Version 1.2
--Description--
Saint-Jean-d'Arves is an "altisurface" located in France, in the Alps (Département de la Savoie), not far from l'Alpe d'Huez.
It's probably my favorite airstrip as a mountain pilot IRL.
The area is beautiful, the strip is not so hard.
Downwind in right hand, you have to follow the hills quite closely.
--The scene--
It's a complete rebuilt of the default airfield. I used default assets but also the "Windy Things" windsock.
The surrounding has also been edited a bit (vegetation, autogen buildings...).
I tried to replicate the runway profile, with a slight bump just ahead of the path that crosses the field on the bottom segment which then looks as a small depression.
--Installation--
Delete any previous installed version of Saint-Jean-d'Arves from your "Community" folder
Just unzip and drop the "sbworks-airport-lf7331-stjeanarves" folder into your "Community" folder of MSFS.
Make sure to have the following library installed as well:
- "Windy things" library (https://fr.flightsim.to/file/14024/windy-things) to be able to see the windsock.
--What's new--
v1.2
Removed the Airport Services definition files that caused services to disappear from not only this airfield (as intended) but also all the airports in the region or even worldwide (bug from SU5).
So now you may see marshaller or pushback here even if it's not realistic at all, waiting for this situation to be corrected by Microsoft/Asobo.
v1.1
Reworked to make it compatible with Sim Update 5
v1.0
-fixed runway start points
-changed the default windsock to Windy Things' one
-added some assests
-removed ground services
v0.9
initial release

All work done by SBWorks (Stéphane Beilliard).

Ca, je ne saurais dire. Mais déjà depuis la derniere update, le relief en France s'est bien amélioré.

Yes, LFTU is the OACI code for Fréjus airport which is now closed. Asobo/Microsoft seem to have re-used this code for this default place, I just had to do the same.

Merci pour ce partage. ;-)
