    Visit Carinthia!
    Mayerhofen  [LOKL] is a private use airfield located near Friesach, Carinthia, Austria. A very small club of about 10 members keeps the airfield up and running.
    Its short but sloped grass runway allows for exciting take offs and landings. This is the base for trips in the Alps or to the Carinthian lakes.

    How to install?
    Simply drag the unzipped "troglodytus-airport-lokm-mayerhofen" folder into your community folder! Please further install "Mikea's AssetPack" for additional detail on ground.

    With this upload each and every airfield in Carinthia has been modeled and is freely available on flightsim. Thank you all for your support and help.

    I'm not living too far away either. Passing by pretty often when travelling north to the Mur-Mürztal by car.

    Yeah, you really nailed it. From small things like the little picnicktable next to the clubhouse to the gates on the road. Fun fact: The pilotsclub's chairman also drives a green car, as pictured in your preview photos:)

    Hahaha I know! I do not know the guy personally, but I saw him approach the airfield in his car, when I was taking reference photos for this project :D

    Me neither, just saw him a couple of times at our village celebrations in St. Stefan. But always greets me when im driving on the gravel road to St. Salvator. Thankfully he and another club member safed the airfield from beeing shut down a couple of years ago!

    Thanks a lot! Yeah, this is one of the smallest airfields, however, I think its charming and it has a challenging approach!

    Thanks a lot! Yes, it certainly is demanding. The only redeeming factor is the sloped runway. You should aim to be about the elevation of the church-rooftop you pass very closely, while approaching. Thats your way of determining the right approach angle 😁
