Description
This is a custom GSX Pro Profile for the MSFS2024 Asobo handcrafted Rio de Janeiro/Galeão–Antonio Carlos Jobim International Airport (SBGL). It features VGDS at most jetway gates, custom ground object placement, and custom pushback including push/pull out of the gate area where applicable. All airport areas have been customized, including Terminals 1 and 2, the South Pier, hard stands on Aprons 1, 2, and 3, Cargo Apron 5, Military Apron 7, United Maintenance Hangar, and the Lider Aviation FBO. The included Python file organizes the various gate and parking numbers properly - use the GSX Menu or Reposition Map to get the accurate information.
I am not an expert on the operations of this airport, so if you have local knowledge about gate operators/caterers etc. let me know and I can update if needed.
MSFS 2024 Asobo SBGL GSX Profile
This GSX Pro profile customizes ground services for the Asobo-crafted Rio de Janeiro Galeão Airport in MSFS 2024. It includes VGDS, tailored object placement, and pushback procedures at jetways and aprons across all airport zones. The configuration covers terminals, cargo, military, maintenance, and FBO areas. A Python file is included to ensure accurate gate and parking assignments within the GSX interface.
Version History
Updated gate sizes to comply with taxiway wingspan limits. T1, T2, Aprons 1-2 are limited to 36m wingspan even though many gates are large enough to fit larger airplanes. Customized all stop positions using Python. Note that in the South Pier gates I had to set the stop position past the line in order for the jetway to reach the L2 door. Boeing 777/747, Airbus A340-600 & A350-900/1000 should all work. I don't own the A340-600, so if the offset I chose doesn't work please let me know.
