Linley Hill Airfield EGNY (also known as Beverley Airfield) is situated in the Yorkshire countryside in England. It is home to the Hull Aero Club. Being born and raised in Hull, and now many thousands of kilometres away, I thought it appropriate to produce an add-in that does the airfield some justice.
The add-in contains:
10 hand crafted assets including the control building and hangars.
ATC for take-off and landing permission.
Refuelling ramp.
Ground services.
12 parking ramps.
Fuel is available at ramp 5 and covered parking at ramp 8.
This add-in works very nicely with our other scenery add-ins:
This is the optimized release.

See you in the Sim!

Hi,
Using FSLTL traffic the traffic for the airport circle but do not land, I have read from other places tat this can be because of the way the airport is laid out by the developer. I do not know if that is the case or its an Asobo issue. Anyhow would be nice to see the aircraft doing circuits touch down etc... Just a wish otherwise really enjoying the scenery.

My local airfield, looks good thanks for the work. If you were into liveries it would me nice to have the Hull Flying Club Cessna G-BIDH to fly with.

Hi stestavros, thanks for the comment and the stars! It was a nice little project to put together. Being from Hull myself and my parents now settled in Cranswick, it's my home away from home too.
Good to hear BIDH is still in service, she's been through a few scrapes! Is it still in the mainly red livery with the diagonal Hull Aero Club white on red, diagonal behind the door?
Can't promise anything but we do need to start supplying liveries with some of our payware airports so, this may be a good starting project for a freeware offering.
All the best, Chris.

File incorrectly named Humberside?
Hi vfr150,
I don't quite understand the question? The name 'humber' is in the project, but that refers to the geological location around the estuary for it's group. I can't find Humberside in there.

Hi Chris
That's great-at the risk of being cheeky the only thing I can see is the runway designation numbers (12/30) are pretty hard to see when in real life they stand out pretty well even from 2000ft when doing an overhead join. Don't know if that's fixable.
Best wishes

Hi Ian,
The markings are done. Custom markings have been added over the original ones to improve visibility. Version 1.3.1 is available.
Fly safe,
Chris

Hi Chris
Great scenery for somewhere I've flown from for years. I do have one problem however and that is the length of the grass on the runway which on my system is ridiculously long to the extent that you can't distinguish it from the grass at the dge of the runway or see the runway numbers clearly. Is this fixable or is it yet another MSFS bug? Pity as it does detract from the realism of this great little scenery.
Great job with Humberside too where I learned to fly many years ago.
Best wishes

Hi Ian,
Great to hear you enjoyed the scenery. This one's been a bit of a sleeper in terms of downloads but it was really nice to put it together. I'm originally from Hull too so if was still there I guess it would be my local.
The grass is a bit of an MSFS bug at the moment, I tried a few things with the taxiways to try to shorten the grass and managed to get something that looked better, maybe able to apply the same to the runway.
All the best,
Chris

thank you. Little detail: rename directory uk-humber-egny --> uk-linley-egny and ContentInfo

Hi JLD.
Thanks for the comment and glad you like it. Linley Hill has been a bit of a slow one to take off, so hasn't had much attention paid to it for a while. It's a nice place to hang out, and was the first custom airport released.
Regarding the naming, I've changed the convention since this was launched, the projects are now in the following format:
secret-studio-'country'-'region'-'icao_code or landmark'
EGNY does need a revisit to address some of the out of place ground vehicles and better define the taxiways.
Any specific reason why you would like that specific convention for EGNY?
All the best,
Chris

Would you ever consider taking requests to do another grass aerodrome down in the south east?
