FlyByWire A380X Realistic Enhanced Lighting - Image 2

Description

Hello! This is my first ever mod made for MSFS. I tried to make the A380's lighting as realistic as possible, this is the first version of my mod with external lighting modification. If you have any suggestion please comment down below and I will try to improve my mod as soon as possible. :)

Changes compared to original lighting
Increased brightness of strobe, beacon, nav, and landing light.
Slow down the beacon and strobe light timing to match irl A380 (It might not be perfectly accurate, I will try more timing value in the future).
Adjust landing light's angle.

Installation Guide:
1.Unzip the mod file
2.Simply drag and drop the mod file in your community folder

Turn on bloom in graphics setting for best result.

just wanted to let you know the top red light doesn't line up on the plane and its only the top light and this in msfs 2024

great mod, much better than the default light cone. However, I do find at certain angle within the cockpit, especially when turning onto the fcu and first officer's screen the light seems "leaking" and the cockpit becomes faded at night. It's quite reproduceable with landing light on or nose light to TO. Hopefully you could have a look at some point

I believe I have a fix for you, which is rather simple.

solution for those who want to use the lightning mod with the dev build:
From the FBW A380 System.cfg, select and copy everything from [BRAKES] (which should be line 298) and onward.
Then open the system.cfg from the lightning mod and select everything from the same line all the way to bottom and press CTRL + V.

The problem was that lightning mod was missing one or more lines that were introduces with dev build 1b15999.

Hi, I can confirm that for some reason the light mod causes the engine to start extremely slowly. I will try to troubleshoot it, but a fix is not guaranteed.

Hello again, after a brief trouble shooting I found out that thedevelopment version is causing the issue, could you please switch to the stable 0.13.0 version and verify again?

Great mod but the beacon light is too strong. I compared it with some real life videos it really is not that strong, however great mod!

Please change the creator tag - this is not done by FlyByWire.
In fact we consider this an unwanted mod as it overwrites original files esp. systems.cfg which will break the aircraft when it is updated.

Hi. Just a hint I know from other addon creators for lights - you can upload more files into 1 package or for example 3 different packages - with lights adjusted for HDR, non HDR or low/medium/high glow - let people choose or they will bother you each time that the light is too bright or too dark or too yellow or whatever :D Just make 3 versions and let people try and choose. Fiddling with colours and lights in MSFS is roulette. Everybody uses different monitor, colours, HDR/on/off, reshade, nvidia filters you name it. YOu would have to adjust it till end of your life.

I have the same problem on the China Southern livery but not the others, so probably its a livery issue.

I've tried all the liveries, including the default ones, unfortunately they all have the same problem
