    Description

    Community request for the repaint of the L-39 Drop Bear in the livery of Draken Europe.

    • Matches Draken’s colour and style as close as allowed by the L-39 Drop Bear’s 3d model.
    • 8k main texture.
    • 2 versions included

      • G-DKNA in Draken’s arctic camouflage livery

      • G-DKND in Draken’s regular livery
      • One folder installs both tail numbers.

    DOWNLOAD

    Note that you need to download the right version for the simulator you are using, as the liveries are not interchangeable.  You can downlaod both files if you are using both versions of MSFS.

    • For the 2020 verison of this livery click on the larger "Download now" button.
    • For the 2024 version of this livery click on the smaller "Download 2024 version" button.

    INSTALLATION

    • Copy folder starting with 2 to your MSFS Community folder.   
    • You would need to own and have installed Asobo’s L-39 Dropbear in 2020 to use this livery 
    • In 2024 no special aircraft purchase is required, as the L-39 is part of the default aircraft offer.

    I am guessing that in SU7 Asobo have updated the aircraft to a full 2024 version. When this happens 2020 liveries no longer work. Liveries for payware aircraft done outside Asobo can usually be converted. But aircraft done by Asobo usually can’t even have their liveries converted, and must be redone from the start. I am not planning on recreating the liveries from the start at this stage. But if it is just a simple folder structure change using existing textures I will update the livery.

    Since SU7 this is no longer showing for me, I tried removing and reinstalling but there liveries aren't there in msfs2024.

    Hi, how did you managge to mount the livery, or how did you make the paintkit? also if you can't share that can you make the Hungarian Airforce L39 livery

    Luckily the 2024 L-39 uses the same 3d model as the 2020 version. Any 2020 textures just need the textures converted to 2024's KTX2 texture format and then put in the 2024 file structure format.

    I can't get it to work in MSFS2024. I tried the troubleshooting hack in the readme, but it doesn't seem to work in MSFS2024.

    I had a quick look in 2024 and the liveries are working. Make sure you downloaded the right version. The purple download button gives you the 2020 version while the green download button gives you the 2024 version. Neither version works in the other simulator.

    Great external livery however the cockpit has some really weird coloring in the arctic camo version but doesn't seem to be an issue in the regular livery.

    I took both for a flight up to cruise altitude and saw no difference in the interior of either version. The only difference is the tail number on the right side of the instrument panel, otherwise they look identical to me. The only interior texture I modify is the one that controls the tail number. If you send me a direct message you can include screenshots of the problem. But unfortunately if I can't see it on my system, I can't fix it. The only thing I think you could try is to try the livery with only it in your community folder and see if the problem goes away. But it would be odd that another mod affect one livery but not the other.
