Begishevo Airport (Tatar: Бегишево Халыкара Аэропорты, Russian: Аэропорт Бегишево) (IATA: NBC, ICAO: UWKE) is an airport in Russia located 19 km east of Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan. It has a very large apron and a number of hangars and buildings.

It serves the cities of Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk, Yelabuga, etc. The airport is also in demand among the residents of Izhevsk, as it is the closest international airport to it. It is located in the Tukaevsky district, 19 km southeast of the center of Nizhnekamsk and 27 km southwest of the center of Naberezhnye Chelny.

History. The construction of Begishevo airport started in 1970 on initiative of Nizhnekamskneftekhim. A first, technical flight was effected on 25 December 1971 on an An-24 airplane. Regular flights within Tatarstan (Kazan, Chistopol, Muslyumovo, Aktanysh, Yelabuga) started in 1972. During the next few years, Begishevo Airport established connections with the main cities of European Russia, Ukraine and Georgia. The airport obtained international status in 1998. In 2008, it became independent from Tatarstan Airlines as OAO Begishevo Airport.

The runway is 2499×42 m in size, three taxiways, capable of receiving aircraft such as Il-76, Tu-214, Airbus A320, Boeing 767[9] and lighter, as well as helicopters of all types[10]. Runway classification number (PCN) 44/R/C/X/T (mixed). The capacity of the terminal is 400 people per hour, the international sector is for 100 passengers per hour, a hotel with 230 seats, a fuel depot with a tank farm of over 10,000 m3. The airport also includes a cargo warehouse with a capacity of 170 tons, an on-board catering workshop, and a temporary customs warehouse (CBH) on the territory.
