Description
Welcome to Nepal! Welcome to the Himalayas!
Syangboche Airport (IATA: SYH, ICAO: VNSB) is a domestic airport located in Namche Bazaar. The airstrip is the closest airstrip to Mount Everest and Everest Base Camp. However, it is not often used by those going to either as this is generally not viewed as consistent with safe, reasonably paced elevation acclimatization.

Well the sign "You are at 3775m" is NOT at the runway but a few meters higher on the trek. I've been there last year. There's only Helicopter Traffic on that airport. I came in and out in with 9N-ALA. And while waiting there for my flight back to Lukla 9N-ADM came in, transporting a lot of wood for construktion. Before takeoff someone had to clear the runway of Yaks...

Ît is very hard to pinpoint signs just referenced on blurry images on the internet.
Indeed, currently there is only helicopter operation going on, however, there was plane activity. The runway is still there for emergencies and possible future operations.

Unfortunately non compatible with Orbx Himalayas mesh
about 3 years ago
Really? I tried it 6months ago and it worked. maybe there was an update, I am gonna take a look at it
about 3 years ago
I tested it, and it is working fine for me with the Orbx mesh. Did you try and delete your rolling cache? Also do you use any other addons in the area? Try and disable those. I think there are some HEMS addons, I do not know if they affect the area.

Great Scenery, but could you please make it compatible with ORBX Himalaya Mesh? there are alot of huge terrain errors.
Thanks! :-)

Thank you, I do not own this product unfortunately.

Sorry, I am not able to speak French.
From what I understood from Google Translate, you are having trouble taking off?
The airfield is at 3800m elevation, it is quite natural, that you are having trouble starting and landing there, because the air is thin. In reality this airfield is for STOL aircraft only, preferable with turbo charger.
Try flying the PC6 or C208, other aircrafts will have troubles.

Great work but I have problems taking of from this airport with the Milviz PC-6. I usually crash into the rocks or trees at the end of the runway... lol
From what I can see here, there are no rocks or trees:

Could you please remove the trees and the rock pile?
Would be great. Because without, I really can barely take of... :D
(maybe it's my "skills" ;), but still, the trees and rock seems to be not there in reality)

Thanks a lot for your comment, as promised to others, it will be revised!

This is amazing airport, realy fun to fly into. My only thing i dont like is the rock at the end of the runway its not there in real life, but otherwise great addon scenery. :]

Thank you very much! I am pretty sure I have seen an image with rocks at the runway edge, otherwise I would not have had the idea to put them there :D Anyways, I will try and improve the airfield!
Thanks a lot and have fun flying!

Hi Troglodytus! Thanks again for your scenery. Im really enjoying it. I tend to agree with b52. the rocks are there but lower than the final runway height. not above it. Its a difficult obstacle to overcome even with a pilatus porter. there also some strees sticking out at those rocks that shouldnt be there
Since SU6 there seems to be a private jet parked there as well.

Thank you, I will rework this airfield, when I get the time to do it :)

I love it, quick question - saw some trees interfering with the end of the runway. Is this normal?
No that is not normal. Thank you, I will look into it!
