Welcome to the World Sightseeing Tour - a series of bushtrips taking you around the world to see the best of what this flight sim world has to offer. The bush trips are modelled in a similar style to the default bush trips - complete with route map/loading screens and fully translated into all currently supported languages. Each bush trip is around 1000 nautical miles with legs averaging 50nm. Some missing airfields have been added where needed (to keep leg lengths reasonable), although they are fairly basic and would be considered placeholders until they are updated/added in the default sim. These bush trips use the default DA62 and weather is set to live and can be changed as needed.
This first download contains the first 18 bush trips, starting in Alaska and travelling through western Canada, the USA and Central America to finish in Colombia. The second part continues on from there, with a tour around the entire continent of South America. This third part moves north through the Caribbean, through the eastern USA and Canada before crossing the Atlantic Ocean to Iceland via Greenland.
Part 1: 18 Bush trips - 384 Legs - 20095 Nautical Miles - 159'27" flight time - available here https://flightsim.to/file/18324/world-sightseeing-tour-bush-trips-part-1
Part 2: 18 Bush trips - 386 Legs - 20238 Nautical Miles - 158'36" flight time - available here https://flightsim.to/file/18640/world-sightseeing-tour-bush-trips-part-2
Part 3: 15 Bush trips - 352 legs - 18028 nautical miles - 141'02" flight time
NOTE: There is little or no satellite imagery in the far north regions (most of Stage #50) - leaving the terrain covered in generic textures. Hopefully a future update by Bing/Asobo will address this.
I am using the excellent BushMissionGen by f99mlu to help create these bush trips, and planning done in LittleNavMap

FAQ
Why the DA62? Can this be changed?
It has a cruising speed of 150-160kts which I figured was a sweet spot for sightseeing/long journeys. It stops very quickly - great for smaller airstrips. Good climb rate. There are no "steam gauge" aircraft currently in the sim that fit these criteria so this seemed the best option (otherwise my choice may have been different). You can change the aircraft to whatever you like before starting each bush trip - check the forums for instructions on how to do this.
The Navlog makes reference to a landmark or sight that isn't there.
Given the ongoing development to the sim, I have just created a route that would see as many of these landmarks/sights as possible, whether they currently exist in the sim or not. They may get added into the default sim at a later date, there are also many scenery/landmark addons available on this site for download. In some cases I have created and added some landmarks which are included in these bush trips - again, like the airports I have added, I would consider them placeholders, as my 3D modelling skills are not great - but it's better than nothing.
When will the next part be available?
No date exactly as these bush trips are time consuming to create - and I have to fly them all to test out the navlog (to make sure the instructions can be followed reasonably well). Also real world stuff slows things down.
How long do these trips take to complete?
I tried to make the legs around 50nm on average (depending on airport locations some are more, some less) which would generally mean a flight of about 20 minutes each leg and around 8 or 9 hours for a bush trip (similar to the original Nevada bush trip which I think has a great balance between flight time / takeoffs and landings). Of course, if you change to the Cub or another aircraft, the flight times will differ. Using real world weather will also affect the flight times.
Are these based on any of the around the world trips that people have been following in the forums?
No. Just based off my own research and various lists of things worth seeing, although there would be some similarities with routes taken through some particular areas as they would be the obvious route to take in a small aircraft (example: Canada - Greenland - Iceland - Faroe Islands or island hopping through the Caribbean)
Will it visit every country?
No. I am avoiding long over-water flights (apart from the necessary Atlantic Crossing via Greenland) or long flights over areas where there are not many airports or sights to see.
Installation?
Just drag the contents of the zipfile to your community folder. There are 12 folders in total (10 bush trips + 2 scenery/library folders)
You added in a missing airport but I already have a better version. What is the best way to fix this?
I added in some needed airports so users could run these bush trips without the need to download any extra files. In the event that you have a better version of an airport than the basic one I have made (example - Tocumen MPTO) the best suggestion I have is to delete the one I made from within that bush trip's scenery folder and edit the layout.json file accordingly (there is a drag and drop editor availble for this also - very handy tool). Alternatively you can leave everything in place (I think) but there will be some doubling up of things in the sim (runways/taxiways).
Not sure if you noticed this @gamer4805 or if anyone has already pointed this out to you, but 3 of your screenshots refer to a Santo Domingo to Port of Spain bush trip. Not sure how this relates to North America? In fact, one of the 3 screenshots in question is even labeled in the black upper right corner as "World Sightseeing Tour Stage 37 North America". But, other than that, you make an Awesomely Wicked set of bush trips!

Since the Caribbean is generally considered part of the North American continent (apart from a few islands that lie on the South American Continental shelf) I put it here instead of the previous part (South America)

Hi gamer, thank you again for these excellent trips.
I have a question regarding leg 49, in Canada. I'm on the section from CCC2 to CYBY, but CYBY (Placentia?) is not showing up in the sim map for me, and the purple nav line just goes straight from POI37 to POI38, missing out the airport in between. I can find the intended airport on the little peninsula as described, with three intersecting runways as pictured in your navlog, but even if I land there it does not complete the leg. Flying onwards to the next listed airport also doesn't complete the leg - if I exit and restart from there it puts me back at POI37, looking for the mysterious CYBY. Any suggestions?

Looks like a recent update deleted the airport as it is no longer used (ex naval air station) - I will fix it up in the bush trip and re-upload a newer version.

Hello gamer!
Can you tell us approximately when the fourth part of your magnificent bushtrip will follow?
I'm in Florida and heading north - I don't have trips ahead of me but they are getting fewer and fewer and I'd love to fly over to Europe and then continue there without a break.

Still working on it but it will take a long time to finish. I am planning to upload it in stages as a work in progress because there is a LOT to see in Europe. So far I have done the Atlantic crossing via Greenland and Iceland to Scotland, then worked my way through the UK and Ireland - currently working on the stage to London so will probably upload after I finish this one.
I also want to make sure Sim Update 11 doesn't break anything when it is released soon.

So greatful tours, I just start WT1 days ago, thank you! It is the most fantanstic and the most detials plan I had been seeing on DOT TO.
Do you have a detialed legs such as in Office Excel? I tried do it on my excel but only what I can do is those 51 WTs, I dont have any idea for those 1122 inside legs. Of course I want make a map which I can point out every single airport I flow. It must be a miraculous journey. Let me know, please.
Thank you! Hope you plan WT Session 4 continully from iceland to Europe, Africa, Asia, Oseania and back to Wales, AK... Total 10000 legs in our fly life!

Thankyou for the kind words. Someone on this website has been converting the leg descriptions to pdf but I am not sure how to do this. I am currently working on the next stage of the tour and am currently working on the UK

These trips are some of the best ever created for MSFS IMHO. I love being able to follow along on a planned route using the GPS and your work here is outstanding. Thanks so much and I look forward to completing these and any future ones you create for us to enjoy.

Thanks for the trips - but I have an issue while flying the DA62 (improved version). There is no generated route in the system and therefore I cannot use the Autopilot / NAV function. Is this a common issue or is there a solution for this?
I think this is a standard function of the sim to make the bush trips more challenging. There may be a hack to fix this but I am not sure how it is done. There is another user on this site who is creating PDF navlogs and flightplans for all of the default bush trips - they have also been given the OK to do this for my bush trips but I am not sure how long this will take them to do all 51 bush trips (so far)

Many, many thanks for putting these trips together Gamer!
I am still ploughing through your earlier trips, enjoying every flight and seeing parts of the world I doubt I will make in real life.
I appreciate all the hard work that you are putting into them and look forwards to starting this batch soon.
Regards,
Sparky
