Description
Proud to present my first ever airport attempt, why not start with whats most local. This is very much a work in progress, still however i feel it is at a stage that can be used whilst parts are updated.
Norwich Airport is a small international airport in Norfolk, England, 2.5 miles north of Norwich. In 2021, Norwich Airport was the 27th busiest airport in the UK and busiest in the East Anglia region. It operates daily KLM flights to Amsterdam, and during the summer TUI flights to multiple european holiday hotspots, as well as other daily domestic flight the most popular being Loganair flights to Aberdeen. Norwich is also a key Heliport for offshore operations in the Southern North Sea with multiple helicopter companies operating many flights per day to offshore rigs and vessels. And to add on top has become a 24/7 headquarters for the East Anglian Air Ambulance after building a brand new hangar and base.
Includes:
- Full overhaul of airport ground textures from scratch.
- Runway, taxiways and parking spots all match the 2022 airport charts.
- Custom Airport bulidings (this is the first time i have ever done any modeling so the buildings and textures are basic but representative)
- Night Lighting
- Google Maps data using the Earth2MSFS to cover the Aviation Museum and Petans until a model is ready to replace them.
- Partial perimiter fence, the full fence will be finished in a later update.
Development:
- More custom buildings ( IAAN, Fire Test Facility)
- General improvements and upgrades to buildings.
- Complete Perimiter fencing.
- Remove all default lighting and replace with new.
- More vehicles and equipment on the ramp
- More acurate runway sloping.
Compatible with Norwich scenery done by SebastianJ which can be checked out here: https://flightsim.to/file/34468/norwich
Disclamer:
Thanks to JonahHex111 for the Google Earth Decoder (If you are interested in trying for yourself definitely try this tool.)
Inorder to see the Static aircraft you must have FSLTL installed. Then drag and drop the EGSHstatic folder into Community. Without FSLTL installed you will only the helicopters on the western and saxon aprons.
Hope you enjoy this airport as much as i have have in making it, any and all feedback will be very helping in improving this airport.

A really great 1st airport. A couple of the disused taxiway sections around the B1 hotspot are showing as grey/white 'missing' textures (which would be much appreciated if fixed), but otherwise perfect.

I've been using this for a while now but it only just hit me that I should leave a review, this is stunning! As someone who works at Saxon, it really does bring a whole new meaning to working from home, thanks so much for it!

The readme doesn't actually say what the difference is between the two file options. I assume it's that one has static aircraft and the other does not, but I can't be sure until I try them both in the sim. It may be an idea to add a quick explanation of what the two files are, and why there is a need for two different options.

Hello, I know I commented an improvement only a week ago but I also noticed that there were no windows on the airside face of the EAAA Hangar could you add some?
Hello, Would you consider adding the new EAAA helipad. I cant find any photos of it yet but it just extends the existing pad for two pads.

Hi Raptorr111

Thank you so much and keep up the great work!

Hi, Thanks. I shall soon begin with improvements, currently i have taken a bit of a break due to real life time constraints. However i do intend to make some improvements hopefully not too far in the future.
