Textron Citation CJ4 Accurate Fuel Fix - Image 1

    Description

This modification changes the fuel flow in the engines.cfg file to better suit the real-life Citation CJ4's fuel consumption.

The default plane without this modification uses 38% more fuel than it should realistically be doing. This mod was calculated to make it much
    more accurate.

PLEASE NOTE: This modification is experimental, so please keep a backup of your engines.cfg file elsewhere in the case it does not work. This mod will still continue to be patched given new information.

Please send any questions, concerns or data to the Reg Development discord server: https://discord.gg/G6NgfSh or contact me on discord @Vaporized_Butter#5211

    Installation Instructions:
    1. Open your install folder (as mentioned above).
    2. Make a backup of the asobo-aircraft-cj4/simobjects/Airplanes/Asobo_CJ4/engine.cfg file, so you can reset back to default.
    4. Extract the mod ZIP folder to your install folder, and when prompted press "replace files".
    5. The fuel mod should now work in-game. Please make sure to restart the simulator.

Send any data, questions or concerns to https://discord.gg/G6NgfSh or me.

Please note, this modification works only for making the Citation CJ4's fuel consumption better.
Do not try to use this on another aircraft or you may end up breaking it.

Release notes for 1.12.13.0 (Dec. 2020) mention "Tweaked fuel flow and ITT for Cessna Citation CJ4 and Longitude", which is after this mod was posted - has this been fixed by MS/Asobo then, or is this version still better?

The mod did not have reverse thrust. Asobo added it to the aircraft from the start and it was inaccurate. The CJ4 in real life has no reverse thrust. The mod has nothing to do with it.

    Steam Users who were confused on the installation path (like me) should use: OS > Users > {username} > AppData > Roaming > Microsoft Flight Simulator > Packages > Official > Steam > asobo-aircraft-cj4 > SimObjects > Airplanes > Asobo_CJ4 > engines.cfg (

Thank you SnakierDrip6, I was disapointed by the range of this plane. By advice of friend pilot on CJ3 it was weird... I watched you fix 2 other planes, do you think you can do same thing about the Citation Longitude? I fell in love for this plane and it burn his fuel too fast: the range IRL is 3500NM and IG I can just go about 700NM...
By advance Thank you (and sorry for my english i'm french)
