Superspud has fixed the runway numbers issue.
I've opened the doors a bit for the old hangar as requested by ezwingman. It's still probably too narrow, but it'll be a test of skills to get in and out!

Superspud has revamped a lot of the groundwork:

Complete taxi system with 20-30 spaces.
All the hangars have internal lighting and static planes have also been placed inside them.
The runways have been replaced. Some runway signs added too.
The heliport and NPAS areas have more details and light added.
Wind socks in the right place. More ground markings. Better ground textures in places.

I have created a new version of the new hangar as requested by ezwingman.

This is probably it for now with the exception of the possibility of an improved tower.

Superspud's work is already legendary - we have some plans for future collaboration - watch this space!

So big thanks to Superspud for whacking the moles, taking out the rubbish and adding all the fantastic ground level details.

I've hand crafted all the buildings including :
Main hangar complex
Tower - adapted from 3D warehouse - credit Ste Allan
New hangar
Harbit hangar
Runway26 cafe
Helicentre
Veterans garage
Heliport
NPAS building
And I've done a not-very-detailed Barton Moss Centre to replace the horrible huge building seen on take off

Like all creative projects, it's knowing where to stop, so here it is for now. Let me know of any glaring errors. Having spent (too) many hours on this, I'm keen to move on but hope to keep tweaking things as required.

Remember to delete Superspud's original EGCB folder.

Very well done, i love it! I came for first time at night all in darkness guided by the heliport hangars lights, and i don´t know how i survived to a landing over the little creek in the middle xD thanks for this, accurate, fps friendly, and without bugs! cheers 😊

This scenery looks great! Thank you. But I also have the issue with no runway numbers! I have just downloaded your latest version (november 16) but that didn't help
Hope you can find a solution, cause this is by far the best scenery for Barton airfield!
PS: I have deleted the Manchester scenery by Mucka1 just to be sure

Fab work, with a couple of issues on my set up.

1) No runway numbers
2) No matter what runway I select, I always get the start position in the sim on the 26 end

Hi Chaps looks fantastic, just flew out from Barton last Wednesday with a real pilot friend. What can I say other than what everyone else has said. Everything looks so lifelike. Wish I had your skill and time to do such projects. I am giving stars even though I cannot use it yet but have downloaded ready to load. Still awaiting new RTX3080 for my new build PC, 7 weeks now, may be another 9 until it arrives. I am so desperate to use MSFS2020. All the best.

This is really looking good now. My only comment is the new hangar, which would be really gret if the doors were open, as they normally are.
Viewing BattleMetalChris's tower is fantastic. Also thanks for the link which gives us all ideas on how the things are built.

Really pleased to download this little airfield, I used to pass along the M62 regularly, from Liverpool to Immingham (Lincolnshire), is EGNJ - Humberside maybe on your todo list, would really like an improvement to the stock offering, maybe even the Humber Bridge???, I'm being cheeky I know, so please forgive my enthusiasm.

This look great. I have just discovered it from someone who commented that it isn't compatible with my sceneries so will take a look but would download anyway as excellent work.

Just put out a hotfix, it was a small blending issue with my existing Barton landmarks scenery.

I've not touched this mod for ages since Asobo put it in the sim. Glad you like what we did but I'm unlikely to revisit it. Sorry.

Thanks for the feedback superspud. Found the asobo barton and moved it to a backup folder - seems to work fine now.

Mr.Skell.. The Flight design fits in the old hangar - just. If you do get around to doing some more adjustments, I noticed that the big green hangar doors seem to be a little too high off the ground. Great to be back at a real Barton again.

Just tried this with the new update. Yours is much better, but the your main hangar is smaller than theirs (Which is more the correct size - sorry). If you could create an exlusion zone to kill the Asobo verion (and enlarge the main hangar 😊 ) I would be extreemly pleased.

BTW I also dislike their Liverpool and bought the payware one from ORBX.

The only way you can use this is to delete the update version from your content manager. There's no way of combining them or overriding certain parts that I can find unlike previous update airports. As for the hangar best ask Mr Skell.

looks like this mod is getting sherlocked by MSFS, this airport is gonna be in next week's update

It'll be dead interesting to see what's done differently. I'm not sure how viable it'll be to combine the two versions if each has better elements. There's much untangling ahead.

Thank you for the great comments. We're all still learning - it's barely 5 months since the release of MSFS - so it's really great to know we're getting lots of things right.

In other news ... Asobo seem to be stalking Superspud & Skell. World update 3 (UK) will include lands end and barton. Are they tapping you emails?

Just picked up on this. It's inevitable eventually I suppose. Still, it's very gratifying to read the positive comments about the quality of what us amateurs are producing.

Can you tell me what you do see? The runways are set to be transparent so I'm seeing everything that was there originally including numbers and the edge markings.

I'd better look into that. I had a similar problem with another place but really can't remember what solved it. It must be some sort of hangover from the old runways but they've been deleted. When you say runway numbers where are they missing for you? The map screen?
